Who are some of your favorites who died too early. I got a few off the top of my head, I'll post them as I go.
Not in any order.
1. Big L
If anyone got taken way too soon it's Big L, he discovered Jay-Z and it was said that he was going to be signed to Rocafella records. He died a week before that happened. No doubt a talent like him would have gone far with Jay-Z who is one of the biggest names in Hip Hop today.
Put It On
Danger Zone
2. Proof
Proof was always thought to be the most talented of D12 along with Eminem and in fact many fans of the group today still consider him the best. He released a major album only a year before he died and I'm sure he would have been huge since he was with Eminem who commands the biggest fanbase in Hip Hop at the moment (arguably).
Kurt Kobain: Pretty creepy to listen to since he died
Forgive Me
3. Ol' Dirty Bastard
Often called one of the most unique MC's, it's such a shame that he died before releasing his first solo album on Rocafella records (Damn they have bad luck). ODB is sorely missed that's all I can say...
Shimmy Shimmy Ya
Got Your Money
4. J Dilla
J Dilla is one of the best producers to be in the game, in fact years after his death music still comes out that he produced. J Dilla's death was huge to hip hop and chances are that even if you don't know who he is, you've heard a song he made. Then again, if you listen to Hip Hop you better know who he is.
Mos Def ft. Talib Kweli - History (Prod. J Dilla)
Common - The Light (Prod. J Dilla)
Raekwon ft. Inspectah Deck, Ghostface Killah, Method Man - House of Flying Daggers
I'll put on some actors when I think of them
