Thats the only word for what your brother is. I understand the feeling of having a home and not wanting to move from it.

But, this is the real world. "Courage" is not rewarded because, in fact, it isnt really courage so much as it gambling. Your brother is making a big bet on his life and the odds are not in his favor. Now, he might be spared, and I am sure he will chalk that up to God or something sentimental like that, but he could very well get hurt, or worse.

Tell him to get out. Tell him he is hurting you, your mom, and the rest of your family.

My mayor (Nagin) said that Gustav is stronger than Katrina and my whole family evecated to Atlanta except for him! I'm sixteen and I'm kinda of worried about. Last night my mom told him to get his ass in the ******* car right now! He would not listen:( I tries to talk to but he said why don't yall just leave me alone? He says if God wants to take me away I'm fine with that, but I'm staying here:? I'm safe sitting here typing in a bed in Atlanta,GA but he's still at home only days away til destruction:cry:

I love my big brother we've done so much together since we were llittle do you think he has chance to survive when the storm comes? BTW The National Guard is bloacking all entrances to and from out the city already, so he's stuck:cry:

He can still survive, but only if he avoids the basement (which will just flood) and keeps on higher ground or stories, he'll be fine. Though it really seems stupid to just want to stay when you can be guaranteed safe by leaving.

UPDATE: Over 1 million is without power(including him) Part of our roof was blown off and his bedroom happens to be where the roof was damged, so water was leaking on his bed. He is still alive but I bet he's bored to death with no electricty or air conditioning. Just him in darkness really...
