Apparently at some point while my bags were checked from Newark to Minot my 360 was stolen from the game case I was using to keep it safe.

That's the last time I check anything valuable. Luckily the airline is covering it under their insurance, though I don't think I've experienced such a run-around before.

Anyone else ever get anything stolen from their bags while they were flying somewhere?

That's very unfortunate, I've never had that happen to me. Hopefully it gets the RROD so no one could enjoy it :P

It was actually starting to mess up a little bit when I would try and play older games. I guess it's actually a blessing.

I hope the guy isn't using my account right now...

Yes. Someone took my entire suitcase before, I'm sure by mistake at first. They didn't return it, which is probably due to the fact that it had a 360 in it as well.

It was weird because they left the 10 games and just took the 360. I don't know, maybe they just wanted an upgrade.

Call MS and get you account locked down. XBL basically has no security features to protect a person with a stolen xbox. If you don't lock down the account, the person who stole the box can buy all types of stuff on XBL. Mine was stolen a few days before thanksgiving...haven't replaced it yet, but first thing I did was lock down the account.

Hopefully you don't have any gamer points the person can spend...Can you change your password to Xbox live or somehow lock it? ( I haven't used an Xbox 360 in a long time since I sold it after it got fixed)

My friend had his stolen and the person charged a bunch of stuff on his Xbox live account.

That is weird. That's like, someone robbed my dad's place before, and they left a bunch of money, TV and other valuable things, and only took a PS1 and some CDs. We figured it was a kid because they only took newer CDs and PS1 games, left things like Alice Cooper and REO Speedwagon albums, and games like Tiger Woods PGA Tour and one of those arcade c lassics w/ Pacman and all that. Also, the way they broke in was very sloppy, like an amateur.

I already know I'm not getting it back.

I called Microsoft, and after two asian, one indian, and one other person I couldn't understand, I got my credit card removed from the account and made a new password for my Windows Live account. So hopefully that'll do.

there was this time...long ago...when I was traveling to a far place in a bus, not in a regular bus though...a "trip bus" I placed my suitcase at the same place where everyone place it...in a compartment below the bus. we reached a stop, but it was not my stop yet...well I looked through the window and there was this guy taking my suitcase, with my PS2 on it...and I was like "OMG WTF NO!!!" I left the bus inmediatly and I was about to beat the crap out of the guy, when I see him returning the suitcase into the bus, it was just part of the bus staff who was taking all the remaining suitcases inside the bus, because a lot of people were getting down on that stop, so the bus was almost empty and they were taking my suitcase back to me =D
