My college mid-term film...please, tell me what you think

I made this for one of my mid-terms for this semester. Took me approx. 3 days. 1 to film, 2 to edit. Don't worry, it's pretty short.

Tell me what you think.

:lol: It was kind of stupid, but I have to admit that I laughed a few times. It looked like you put some solid effort into it, so you'll probably do fine as far as grades go.xXBuffJeffXx

The project was meant to both poke fun at how trailers are presented and also make an (obscure) connection to how video games and movies handle violence. "Kill them back." is the key line there. All the other stuff was just out of sheer enjoyment. 

It was already graded (A) and actually made an appearance at the 2nd annual ASU student film festival. I honestly had no idea it'd do so well.

I figured "If people at my college like it...maybe people online will like it too."

I liked it. The first Mario Kart shot was really nice. Loved the GTA reference at the end as well.

It was a lot better than I expected it to be.

I can't make any great movies, because I can't seem to find any good software. What did you use to make that video? Definately need something that lets you superimpose stuff like that. Something that's only a few hundred dollars would be nice. Any recommendations?Yarcofin

I used Final Cut Pro 7 on a really bad ass Mac at my college.

For PC's, I use Premier Pro...which is a tad better than Final Cut imho. 

If you goto a college computer store, they usually sell video software for hundreds less than they do at retail. Try that. 

Just a warning though - Final Cut/Premier Pro are monster programs...they take bit of time to get the hang of, but it's totally worth it once you do.
