It's not because people go too fast, it's because they don't know how to control their cars at speed. Look at the German autobahns, no speed limits and there aren't that any more accidents on them.

Not to detract from your glory, but I've hit 115 mph in my 95 Camery. Of course I was on a literally empty highway, not merging into busy traffic. Try not to kill anybody dude...

Why would you report this, he was driving correctly. Your suppose to be above the speed limit when you merge, he may of been a bit in excess but nothing insanely dangerous.
From the video it doesn't look like you were that close, I don't think that truck almost hit you. However I find people that drive like that most annoying.

Really? In Britain people just tend to move to the middle lane if they see that someone wants to merge up ahead, it seems a bit odd that you should go faster than the speed limit.

60 on a single carriageway, 70 on a dual and its meant to be 70 on the motorway but most people go between 80 and 100.

ha, we have driveway, I havent heard parkway before though, a lot of older folks here say carriageway when they are actually talking about the road, the rest of us tend to just say road but the single/dual carriageway thing is just for saying how many lanes there are.
