I graduated HS 5 years this month, June 2004. To be completely honest with you I still miss it to this day. I had a blast all throughout HS, going to parties, throwing parties, hanging out with friends...it was great, memories I will have for a lifetime.
What sucks is that I haven't been able to see all of my friends as much. One of my best friends that I've known since elementary school went to college in another state and it's been around 2 or 3 years since I've seen him. On the other hand, I still see some people every now and then, especially in the summer when everyone comes back home. In fact I've even talked to a girl who moved out of state like 6 years ago just the other day at work.
While it does suck leaving everyone behind, If they truly meant something to you, then you would want them to go off and fulfill all of their dreams. Also, our generation has an advantage with this that others haven't. Even though I don't see a lot of them, I still talk to a lot of my friends using social networking sites like Myspace and Facebook, so it isn't all bad.
Although I have to say college is a blast as well. I've made new friends that I've lived with, and gone to new parties, met new people...and I still hang out with a lot of my friends from my hometown that I grew up and went to HS with.
