My Sister and I are in big trouble

This is all really weird. I'm concerned about my sister. I graduated from college last spring, and I've been really busy. I was very busy in college and afterward. I had to find a job and everything. Anyway, my point is that I haven't had really any contact from my family (My parents live in another state). We haven't been close for a long time. My dad's always so busy and my mom is always depressed. I guess they thought that if they paid for college, they could just forget about me. I haven't been much better, but I guess I was kind of waiting for them to call me. I've only gotten about 10 calls during my four years in college, and they weren't much. This year, I got 1 call from my mom, and none from my dad as usual.

Anyway, my sister actually called me a couple weeks ago, and said she was moving to my state! I never talked to my sister, ever since I moved and started college. I didn't think she cared, but she said she wanted to see me to talk. Anyway, she visited my apartment, and she was really different. She used to just ignore me. Now, it seemed like she wanted to be around me. She looked different, like...her face. She looked very nervous and uneasy. I don't think it had anything to do with me. She chose to see me. I got the feeling she wanted my help with something. She only visited for an hour, and we mostly talked about me, but it didn't seem like she was really listening. I think she was just putting off what she really wanted to talk about. Before she left, I asked her if anything was wrong. She just said "Not really. I'm just a little stressed about the move." After the talking, we just quietly moved all her stuff to her new apartment.

The reason I posted all that is mostly just to explain the situation. I'm really posting because I have a question. I got a letter in the mail a couple days ago from my sister. I opened the envelope and there was another envelope inside that had small print on the bottom saying to open it in the bathroom. I did, and she said she was in trouble, and so was I. She said my house was probably "bugged", and that I shouldn't call her about what she wrote because my phones were probably tapped. She wrote that she is involved with an important computer program for a company called Jagex. She said that she found something she wasn't supposed to see, and that she is being watched. I did some research on Jagex, and I found out that it owns a popular MMORPG called Runescape, and they are supposed to be located in England. So, I was just wondering if anyone here knew anything about the company. She said in the letter to meet her at 4:00 on Tuesday (tomorrow) at a Perkins, but she also said she wouldn't be able to tell me much more.

I'm posting now because I want to know more about Jagex so I can talk to her about it. Since I am apparently being watched and have my phones tapped (I know how weird that sounds), I can't really contact her often. I tried searching for cameras and microphones in my apartment (I live alone), but couldn't find anything. I don't know anyone in real life who has been through anything like this. It seems like a dream, and it all happened so fast. Anyway, for now, just tell me what you know about Jagex. Also, if anyone knows about cameras, that could be helpful. How small can they get? Where could they be hidden?

EDIT: remember, this is all according to my sister. I'm probably not bugged. Even if I was, I think jagex is too big of a company to do it. The more I think about it, the weirder it sounds. Also, runescape probably has nothing to do with it, since my sister didn't even mention runescape.

I cant connect Jagex with tapping phones and bugging your place, unless somehow shes been hacking Runescape... okai well say if you are bugged then i want you to do a big favour when you find out why then tell me or the whole forum... but please tell me i want to be bugged...

This sounds pretty far fetched... Still though I will post something for you. A webstore called thinkgeek sells equipment you can use to scan for transmitters in your house, but note that they could also be posted outside of your house.

JaGeX is a pretty big company. It started out in 2000 or 2001 and has grown from being a small non profit company to a multi millionare comapany with a whole lot of employees, most of which live in England.

You may also want to consider the fact that if you are being watched by someone they may also watch your computer, something which is redicilously easy to do, especially if they had access to your apartment. Even I could set up a simple program to monitor everything you do and e-mail me the content if I had access to your computer, so be careful. ;)

But then again, you haven't seen your sister for so long she may have developed a mental illness which could cause unfonded paranoya. You should getto a public phone (for her sake) and call your parents to ask about her, find out if anything ahs been bothering her and see if you can't figure out exactly what her connection to JaGeX is and wether or not it extends beond having played their game.

Thank you everyone for your replies. I know my computer could definitely be hacked, which is why I can't e-mail her, and I can only post so much on here. I did a scan with AVG free and it didn't show anything critical. Still, I think you guys might be right that it may just be my sister. She has been diagnosed with a OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder), and paranoia is normal for people who suffer from it. Many of you are talking about runescape, but I don't think it has anything to do with tht. She didn't say anything about it in the letter. She just said it was an important computer project for Jagex. Does Jagex have any subsidiaries? Also, I need to find out if she thinks jagex itself is after her, or if it's something else. Jagex is a big company, and it's not like they would have someone's room bugged if they could be caught, right?

I mightpost what I find out after I meet with my sister. I may have to use my friends computer. I need a computer for a lot of things, and if it's hacked I shuoldn't be working on it. Anyway, my friend lives in the same apartment (we went to the same college), so it shouldn't be too difficult. I really don't want to drag him into this though....

1) Buy a gun. Something small that fits on your waist but packs a punch. Make sure it's legal.

2) Talk to your sister more, get some more details, find out if she hasn't gone crazy/started doing crack cocaine/meth. Those drugs WILL do that to people.

3) If she isn't completely crazy, casually search your house for bugs. If you find any contact the FBI (though an international company spying on US citizens could mean the FBI is well aware).

4) If you Bel Air us expect a giant ban.

When I used to play Runescape I remember Jagex being unreasonably secretive with what the designers looked like. If I recall correctly (it was a long ass time ago) the only picture they released was of the design team in camo uniforms with masks on from a game of paintball.
