So i'm going to berkeley college here in new york city. It's a private 4 year business school. It doesn't have much of a reputation and i'll be honest it's not the best, i guess it's average. You can choose day classes or night classes and i chose mostly night classes, i have trouble waking up at 8am to take the subway to school. With night classes the students are alot older ages 30 to 60 sometimes. I'm the youngest in there at 20. The girls in the class....well i wouldn't say girls but ladies in the class..are mostly over weight/obese african american and hispanic. I'm pretty much the only asian american in there. There are hardly whites maybe 1. Everytime i goto class i get pissed, i don't know why...maybe just the mood and environment of being in that class. I left an hour early last week and last last week i again left early. The ladies in the class say lame jokes, i have noone to talk to, i have no friends in the class. We have nothing in common. There's a lady in there that likes telling racial jokes that are annoying. One day i'm going to cuss her out or something i don't know. But you get the point. So i have the class tomorow at 6pm. Has anyone ever been through a situation like this? thanks for reading by the way.

You're 20 ****ing years old. Has it ever ocurred to you that maybe you should simply act like an adult?
Are you going to college to make friends, or are you there to learn and stuff?
Are you seriously considering cussing someone out and trhen walking out on the course just because a few people in the class annoyed you? Well, welcome to the real world. I'm asuming that you're there because you hope to get a degree, and I'm assuming that you job for that degree to help you to get a good JOB. If you can't even react with your fellow students without losing your ****, then how do you expect things to go when you have to deal with these people in a workplace setting?
Bottom line, here's my advice...you're an adult, so act like it.
thanks i mean you're pretty much right. Just....annoying when you have to goto a class in which you have nothing in common with the other students, you're 20 they're 40. I have no friends in the class i'm a loner sad but when it comes to these night classes i am. u have to be in my shoes to know how it's like.
No man don't let that BS get you down. I enjoyed college, a lot of my friends enjoyed college, and we're relatively successful in difficult programs at a high-rated university. Obviously it's not all sunshine and happiness, but you do not need to be miserable or completely cut out your social life during college - quite the opposite, in fact. Anyone who says college isn't fun, has missed out on a lot of fun that he'll never get anywhere else in his life. Trust me, I was one of those people who only jumped on the fun bandwagon nearing the end of my degree, and wished I had done so much earlier.
