Jay-Z is great at marketing. Example, when he and his friends couldn't get signed they made their own record company and called it Rockefalla records which sound alot like Rockefeller. People see the name and assume it has something to do with John Rockerfeller so they pay instant attention as it stands out. It would be like if you today made a record comapny called Bill gate records or Steve job records
