So I was browsing cracked and clicked a link and another etc and ended up on this list. Which while some things I knew about others blew my mind.

http://listverse.com/2008/07/23/10-more-unsolved-mysteries-of-the-world/#3

Number 10 I found the most intersting and baffling. Man made? 2.8 billions years old wtf?

http://listverse.com/2007/07/20/top-10-unsolved-mysteries/ Another list equally as awesome.

3 I found interesting I had never heard of it.

While some of these things you've proably heard of I've sure theres something new there for you. Thoughts?

Edit: Im putting this in the OP because imo its the freakiest thing in this thread. Even though its right below my post. Thanks chris for posting.

Agreed. I picked an old book at an old book sale (my local library was cleaning shop) that had all these mysteries in it, some where really fascinating. Wish I could find it, it had some really good ones.

Heres an example of something thats less of a mystery - scientists suspect something impacted the earth - but is still really interesting.

The Great Siberian Explosion.

What the hell...thats just freaky.

There was a cracked article where that was debunked. they'd gone hiking, got lost, suffered from hypothermia and were probbaly partially eaten by wild animals. I forget how the radiation came into play, I think it was the long periods of their bodies being exposed to sunlight.

Well, I can give anyone wondering about the Bermuda Triangle an answer. There's no mystery to be solved; basically it's an urban legend.

There's a book called The Bermuda Triangle Mystery - Solved, that goes through a lot of the acounts and explanations and then details what's wrong with it. I can recount his bullet point summary if anyone wants, but here's his end-of-book conclusion:
(Here's also a link to the Sketpic's Dictionary for some points as well.)

The Legend of the Bermuda Triangle is a manufactured mystery. It began because of careless research and was elaborated upon and perpetuated by writers who either purposely or unknowingly made use of misconceptions, faulty reasoning, and sensationalism. It was repeated so many times that it began to take on the aura of truth...David_Kusche

I imagine something similar holds true for most of these accounts, that there's a reasonable explanation that's just not widely known. Even the ones that aren't yet accounted for, maybe not even for a long time, probably have just such a reasonable answer waiting to be discovered.
Yeah...not a big fan of conspiracy theories, urban myths, and "unsolved mysteries" personally :P
All very fascinating mysteries. Love these kinds of mysteries, trying to solve them can be good for the mind. There was a mystery I read when I was young, it's always stuck in my mind, about a man who disappeared in front of a few people, if I recall it was around the 1930s or so. It's been a while since I last read the book it was in, but according to witnesses the man was seen walking away from the village he lived in, he was within eye shot of about five people or more, and he just vanished.

There's also the Lindburgh baby mystery which has never been solved, and many others which haven't been mentioned.

There's this one little town that was made like 10,000 years ago I think. It was cut from rock that's very hard to cut, as in you would need very recent saws to cut it, and it was made very precisely. Sadly I can't remember what it's called. A lot of people think it has to do with aliens, but I think that's kind of silly.

Same here. I was sitting in my room. No tv or lights. And After reading, I turned on the tv and opened my door. I'll sleep with the TV on tonight. And whatever you do reading about the The Dyatlov Pass incident will make it worse.

Its still really interesting though nomatter how freaky.

I think I found it, it's called Pumapunku. Apparently the big thing is that these stone things had interlocking parts with very little error.

Thats it I remember the name. The big mystery they talked about on the show is how the hell they got them there. Let alone the precise carving not know possible for the time period.

I've heard of most allof those. I love these kinds things. They get my brain going at 100mph. Someof them seem fairly obvious as to their origin, but its obvious mainstream science is too closed minded to comprehend what it would mean.
