Just like any other legend or story, we like to remember Mythology and pass on the stories. Plus early times they weren't just stories, but beliefs among the people.

...What's the point of any story then? We as humans are storytellers, and it's just something that keeps us entertained, or teach great morals among one another. If you see no point in Mythology because they're stories, then there isn't point in video games, or movies, or television, or music, or literature, or theatre either, because much of them tell a story.
I love learning abot Norse mythology just because it's so damn awesome. I believe the point of mythology is to pass down awesomeness through the ages.PowerSerj
