I hate this movie with a fiery passion. It's not funny at all. There is no storyline or plot. People try to mimick his voice all the time. This is just another one of those things that takes of and becomes popular but isn't entertaining at all. Like American Idol. Does anyone agree with me?monkeytoes61
not everyeone has the same taste.........get over it cry baby.

Your mom goes to college.
I think the discussion would be more interesting if people threw out some of their other favorites. That way we could determine if maybe there's just a disconnect in terms of sense of humor.
For me?
Napolean Dynamite: Among the funniest movies I've ever seen.
Funny:
Simpsons (before it dragged on for too long)
South Park
The Daily Show
Silly gore/horror flicks (Bad Taste, Dead Alive, Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness)
Those GI Joe PSAs you can find on YouTube
Unfunny:
Family Guy: When you satirize something, it's supposed to be funny, not so close to the originial form that it's just as painful. I'll admit that it's had it's moments but after watching a handful of episodes all the rest seemed a little bit too familiar.
Saturday Night Live going back to Gulf War I: Unfunny for the same reasons the family guy is but also the pathetic attempts of writers and performers to build these characters that will take them to Hollywood in spite of them being unfunny.
Most sitcoms: Jokes you can see coming from ten miles away. Characters acting so uncharacteristically stupid the suspension of disbelief is blown wide open, especially children.

Wait, did you watch stuff from the first 3 seasons? Those were the really good seasons. After that I can completely understand people not finding the show funny, but you need to see the first 3 seasons to understand why it has such a rabid fanbase.....
Anyways, some stuff I find funny:
Kung Pow: Enter the Fist (First 20 minutes is the best thing ever)
Borat
Anchorman
Austin Powers series
Robot Chicken
Family Guy
Naploean Dynamite is what I call a "disposable film." After you watch the film for the first time, you might as well toss it in the trash, because even though it's mildly amusing the first time around, itdoesn't hold up after it's initialviewing.

To be fair I've never had a marathon viewing of all the eps in a single season but I remember it striking me as a bit hit or miss when it first came out. I did nearly piss my pants at, "Yo clown, hit me!" psshhht! "Now if I could only find a midget with some gin..."

I haven't marathoned either. Just look at the original seasons when possible. The newer episodes are likely the miss ones....
