I just finished reading the latest Naruto chapter and there have been some new interesting developments!

Here were some of the interesting parts: One of Mizukage's bodyguards has a Byakugan in his right eye, which is very odd seeing as the Byakugan is lost when a Hyuuga branch family member dies because of the curse seal.

Also, all of Naruto's childhood friends have agreed that they need to stop Sasuke on their own (without involving the Hidden Villages) in order to avoid a war.

The most important part that was revealed was when the dude with the Byakugan looked at Danzou and saw that the Sharingan in his right eye and the chakra in the right side of his body belonged to Uchiha Shisui. If you don't remember who Shisui was, he was Itachi's best friend whom Itachi killed in order to get the Mangekyou Sharingan.

The Byakugan guy also said that one of Uchiha Shisui's powers was a mind control technique, implying that Danzou was controlling the neutral leader at the Kage meeting to increase his power. Also, Zetsu randomly decided to show up in the middle of the meeting, saying that Sasuke was nearby. I'm not really sure why Zetsu is doing this, seeing as Sasuke and his allies are part of Akatsuki now.

I know this was a really big post and all, but feel free to discuss Naruto fans! :P

To each his own I guess. It's just a hobby of mine; I do it for entertainment purposes, similar to how you (probably) play videogames. I read manga because I love a good story (I like to read novels as well) and also because the authors are able to express things in manga that are very difficult to pull of effectively in novels.

For example, in a novel, you can't keep changing perspectives every few pages; you will usually get a very limited view of what's going on. However in manga, you can switch which characters and locations to focus on very rapidly. You can be talking about one character on one page, then about another character who is hundreds of miles away on the next page. This helps you to see the full story, and not just one side of it.

Another thing I like about manga is that since it does consist of drawings, you can do things that are EXTREMELY hard to put in words, especially when whatever the character is doing deviates from what happens in real life. Think about trying to put something like Dragonball into words. It would be very hard to describe what a Kamehemeha is, or an aura, or trying to get the reader to picture what Saiyan armor looks like. Where novels would have a tough time doing this, manga can pull it off easily.

It's like reading books but without the writer trying to explain everything that's going on.. I find it a lot more enjoyable to read then books.

A lot of animes are based on these manga. In some ways, they are better than TV because you can use your imagination to picture what is going on and to think of how characters would sound like based on their personalities and actions.

It's cool because everything isn't handed to you on a plate like in TV, you get to do some creative thinking yourself which I find very rewarding.

I don't think so, because the guy with the Byakugan said he fought with a Hyuuga. I was under the impression that Neji's dad just gave himself up.

Also way back when they were discussing his father's death, Neji saw his father's dead body in Konoha. Also, there was no mention of him missing his eyes.

If Sasuke is to die, it will be at the very end of the manga; but I don't see it happening any time soon though. Honestly, I think there will be another time skip because Naruto hasn't become fully matured yet and he isn't powerful enough to become a Hokage. I'm predicting another Ninja War is on the horizon.

How much more destroyed can Konoha get? This is another reason why I think there's going to be another timeskip, because the village needs time to repair itself.

Even though I would like a timeskip so that the series has a chance to redeem itself (because part 2 has been a complete disappointment) I doubt there will be one. The series is running out of plot points to explore and develop on based on the current setting. New events and characters/factions can be introduced for future antagonists but the problem with that is, how will kishimoto pull it off without having it look like a completely random plot device which is one of the main weaknesses of part 2. To alleviate this problem, naruto's part 3 would need to become an adventure series to keep it fresh or otherwise it will just be part 2 all over again.

For a timeskip to occur, the series and characters would have to go through a major overhaul, especially team 7 (kakashi is an exception). In fact I want sasuke to be back in konoha and be on relatively good terms with everyone by the time part 3 starts (if there is a part 3 of course), considering he has been a complete failure as a character ever since after itachi's death. It would be the only way to fix Naruto's unhealthy obsession with him (something I still can't understand to this day) so that Naruto can actually focus on being hokage again. Sakura needs to have some self-respect for herself because honestly she had so much potential as a character but all that was wasted because she's a sasuke-worshipping fangirl, she definately needs to become more independent.

Lastly, kishi would have to find a way to deal with the side characters as well. Kakashi would probably have to become hokage until Naruto is mature enough. Neji, Rock Lee, Shikimaru, Chouji, etc will all need to have some closure because I can't see all of them accompanying naruto, sasuke and sakura on their adventure.

So yes I hope for a part 3 as long as it will make the series better

Yes, I agree with a lot of what you have to say. Part II hasn't really impressed me after Naruto learns Fuuton Rasenshuriken (except for the Shinra Tensei on Konoha and Jiraiya's death )

Anyways, I can't really imagine Kakashi as the Hokage, sitting behind a desk all day in the Hokage robes and hat. It's not really consistent with his character. I think Tsunade will recover from the coma and resume her position as Hokage.

i completely dissagree, nothing really important happened in part 1. apart from the attack on konaha no big issues came up, it was all small personal problems. part 2 is epic in comparrison, almost like part 1 was a prelude to the main story. furthermore i find that naruto in part 2 is much more likable and belieavable then part 1 naruto who was an annoying little brat.

True, that wouldn't fit kakashi at all so he would probably have to stick with team 7 like always. I would like to see Tsunade as hokage again as well but the only thing that worries me is that well she's not strong enough.

shard9

Yes part 2 is epic compared to part 1, and by epic, I mean epic fail. I don't understand how anyone can like part 2 naruto over part 1 naruto. Part 2 naruto has no self-respect or dignity at all whatsoever. It's like sasuke cut off naruto's man-jewels before leaving konoha. Part 2 naruto revolves his goals and practically his current life around sasuke right now, it's incredibly pathetic. If part 1 naruto saw part 2 naruto ever met, part 1 naruto would probably kill himself out of shame and embarassment.

Part 2 would have been great if:

-Itachi is still alive (he died way too soon)

-Danzou was introduced in part 1 (so that when the plot twist comes the reader reaction would be, "Oh snap! it was him all along!" instead of, "Wtf? Who is this guy?")

-The fights were more tactical and strategic like shikimaru vs. temari, rock lee vs. gaara, team 7 vs. zabuza. All of the fights in part 2 have been disappointing with the exception of shikimaru vs. hidan and naruto going 8 tails.

-Less plot devices. Part 2 is full of random powerups (wtf kakashi mangekyou sharingan) and character plot-shield protection especially for sasuke just to make sure he survives an encounter with someone who is obviously stronger than him.

-Sasuke going emo and leaving only lasted for 1-2 arcs, instead of revolving the entire part 2 around him.

-Naruto would stop wallowing in self-pity. Seriously he needs to get over his past, move on and man up.

-Less people dying. Only kill off characters if it has a major impact on plot and character development.

I just want the quality of part 1 back that made the series so great because the series has been on a steady and obvious decline in quality since part 2 started.

I don't know about you guy's, but I'm glad something is finally happening. Late 2008 and early 2009 of Naruto was almost unbearable.
the whole Sauske arc, especially Sasuke vs. Itachi went of WAAAYYYYY too long....
I don't really want another time skip though. I'm really looking foreword to see what they decide to do about Sasuke. I'm sure there will be a Naruto vs. Sasuke fight that will go on way too long though. :(

I'm mad at Kishimoto because he killed off Jiraiya and Itachi way too soon. Also, it was kind of lame when everybody that Pain killed was brought back to life (except for Kakashi).
