Just because you find rocks, doesn't mean there is water. I've walked around desert and found rocks, and didn't see no ocean.

At least with Lai we can pretend that he's legitimate. Statements like this are so transparent that it's embarrassing.[QUOTE="0rbs"][QUOTE="Ace6301"]I wish NASA had more funding :(mattbbpl

Ah, but water does come from rocks. Look at Numbers 20:10-11"He and Aaron gathered the assembly together in front of the rock and Moses said to them, Listen, you rebels, must we bring you water out of this rock?11 Then Moses raised his arm and struck the rock twice with his staff. Water gushed out, and the community and their livestock drank."

Sorry to disappoint you, but Moses never went to Mars.

Please, everyone knows GOD was the one who caused it to make water not Moses. Are you saying GOD can't make water on Mars?[QUOTE="0rbs"]

Why do you think NASA and God are the same entity?
The age of the solar system is estimated to be 4.5 billion years old, Mars could have very well had water on it at one point, but been unable to retain it due to lower atmospheric pressure and lack of natural magnetic shielding from solar winds, why is it so hard to think that at one point Mars might have had a running water but lost it? Heck, it's not even something under speculation, water currently exists on Mars, that they know. They've even found it on the Earth's moon as well. Maybe you should read the Wikipedia entry for "spectroscopy", they can identify numerous molecules just by identifying the wavelengths of light. The "buckball" (an allotrope comprising of 60 carbon atoms) was discovered deep in space with telescopes just by observing the wavelength of light it emitted before they recreated it back on Earth. Anyhow, they can see water on Mars. They can see it on the Moon. There must have been more at some point. 0rbs, maybe you are fulltime troll, I could only hope, but the sad truth is probably more likely than that you're someone whose parents shipped you of to some god forsaken Jesus camp that preaches right wing anti-intellectualism, promoting a quasi-religious message through it's anti-science positions, and you just regurgitate everything you hear from your unemployed drunk daddy who sits on the couch complaining about "Baboon-Obama" is going to ruin the country with socialism, and using his welfare checks to send you down to the local moonshiner for a bottle of hooch so he can drink during the daytime on a weekday.lamprey263

NASA's funding is only a drop in the bucket of our nation's spending, it's just under $18 billion. There are much greater wastes of funds, such as military defense spending. In a single year the military budget spends more money than the entire NASA budget to date. Plus NASA's spending is economically stimulative, creating new aerospace companies, creating for technological advancements in just about every facet of society, creates jobs and generates tax revenues. Anyhow, what do you really think would happen if say some right wing congress decided NASA was a waste and decided to cut its funding entirely? They'd kill it without hesitation, even if feeding the needy was a justification. Then when it came to actually using that saved $18 billion to feed the needy, do you think they'd actually do it? Hell no they wouldn't. They'd probably cut the Department of Energy, Department of Education, Department of Whatever, and pass tax cuts for the wealthy, cut all kinds of regulations on workplace and environmental safety, abolish the minimum wage, abolish child labor laws, abolish civil rights laws, abolish abortion, and still feeding the needy will take a back seat to a day of golfing for John Boehner. Now stop making threads and go get a bottle of hooch for your daddy before he ends up beating you with the buckle side of the belt. Summer is coming, when daddy sends you to that faux-religious right wing brainwashing Jesus camp I'm sure that "I fell down the stairs" excuse is going to get old, they might start asking if your daddy touches you and bring out a doll to point to the spots.[QUOTE="Ace6301"]I wish NASA had more funding :(0rbs

Thread is dumb. Rocks could mean if there was water depending how the rocks look. Smooth rocks shows that there could have been water. The article is simply stating that NASA has found evidence but hasn't confirmed that there was water on Mars.
Orbs, you are clearly not very good at trolling. Why not justt discuss this with us like a normal human?
