Of all people, I thought military personnel should be experienced enough with guns to know that rule about treating all guns as if they were loaded.

Wow that was just stupid. It amazes me this guy got through BUD/S.

Basic firearm safety.....Check for a round in the chamber, before handling a gun. Also always assume a weapon is live until verified that it isn't.

Even being drunk should not have overridden that basic safety lesson.

The Darwin Award was definitely justified.
