I sold this guy an used working Zune 80gb mp3 player on Ebay. A week later he emails me saying that after 2 days, it no longer turns on. I find this odd since I tested it before i sent it and everything was working great. Anyhow, the listing said no refunds, but he is demanding one or else he will contact Ebay and say I sold him something with a faulty battery. For all I know he may have dropped it. What should i do?

Explain it all to eBay, and be sure to mention that the listing said you would not offer a refund.

He agreed to your refund policy when he bought it, and it's also likely he can't prove to eBay that the battery was faulty when you sent it.

Ebay and Paypal usually ALWAYS take the side of the buyer, but you may be okay in this case since the listing said no refunds. Also, if you can take a screenshot of the email where he says that it worked for 2 days, than that is proof that you sold him a working product.

Get your money from paypal into a bank account ASAP. If it ends up that he will get a refund, AFTER you explain the situation to ebay, they will try to deduct the total payment from your paypal. If its on its way or in your bank account by then your paypal will become negative. Then just unlink the info to your bank and whatnot. The slightest complaint can have ebay issuing a refund even though you dont get the item you sold back. Its stupid.
