Just a bunch of my favourites:

  • Edguy - Really, I'm disappointed it took 3 pages for them to be mentioned. Hellfire Club, Mandrake and Tinnitus Sanctus are their best albums, but they're all good.
  • DragonForce - Flameshields at maximum capacity, captain. Ignore the crappy live vids someone filmed on their mobile phones, they are great live.
  • Powerglove - 16 bit retro songs remade with blast beating drums and guitar duels.
  • Animetal - Anime themes such as Kamen Rider and Neon Genesis Evangelion remade with shred solos (39 songs per album)
  • Sanctity - They've only done one album since two of the four members left, but it's still a fantastic album. The singer is just the right balance of growl and clarity.

Shinedown, Velvet Revolver, Pillar, Skillet, Breaking Benjamin, Seether, System Of A Down, Down, Trivium, Static-X, Dope, Papa Roach, Tool, and Trapt are good.ArmoredCore55

 Shinedown! Wooooo I love you :P. That's actually a very decent list you have there if you scratch System of A Down. Never really been fans of them.

Also try Killswitch Engage, Parkway Drive, Dream Theater, Opeth, Rise Against, Sevendust and 12 Stones.

Yep. I love them. If I ever got the chance to see them live I would be there so quickly, but unfortunately living in Australia has its disadvantages :P.

I just start listening to them. Really good stuff, I'm surprised I hadn't listened to them before.

Here's more music OP that you should be listening too:

  • Nasum
  • Nightrage (Sweet Vengeance and Descent into Chaos ONLY!)
  • Blind Guardian
  • The Absence
  • Down
  • Nevermore
  • Zyklon
  • Paradise Lost
  • Misery Index
  • Deeds of Flesh
  • Soilent Green
  • Necrophagist
  • Behemoth
  • Bloodbath
I think I covered a wide range of subgenres.

You serious? It's not 2001 any longer....That's a savage list of Christian nu-metal right there. Anyway, TC, i'm struggling to make recommendations because i don't know what kind of metal you're looking for. I mean, if it's early decade Christian nu-metal, maybe this list is a good one for you? I've no idea.

first off, shinedown isnt a christian band. the name came from a painting in a members house that had a sweet light shining on it, and the name stuck.

second, silent civilian is post hardcore, not christian nu metal. i can see you calling 12 stones, POD, and demon hunter christian metal, but is having a thinly veiled moral overtone really a negative in music? Pop Evil and Cold definitely arent christian metal either. Learn music if you want to criticize. i left a big variety of hard rock and metal there because i dont personally know the TC, or exactly what his taste is.
