Hello,

I'm looking to get a new headset for the series x. I currently have stealth 700s and haven't really tried anything other than TBs because it had the Bluetooth capability of streaming music which I like. Im looking at the Penrose x and Arctis 9x but I'm open for suggestions. Thanks!

I have a set of Arctis 7 and I love them. It requires a dongle to plug in to your console or PC, so I am not sure if that matters, but they are great.

If you can find one, I would go for the Official Xbox Series Headset.

I was in the same boat a few months ago, I couldn’t get the official one so I ended up getting Shure Ionic 50, for an all purpose headset and use a dongle for Xboxing!

It’s a touch expensive, but it’s a great all rounder headset for gaming, movies and music. You can connect everything simultaneously so even if you’re gaming and get a phone call, the call will come through!

@racing247: I’d recommend the Xbox headset too. Great value for money, good battery life, good mic (Dualbeam with voice isolation), Dolby Atmos, no dongle needed, decent sound. I also love the volume and mixer controls….every headset should do the same.

Also has Bluetooth for music, and connects to your phone at the same time as you game.

@racing247: Mic yup, it’s built in so nothing sticks out! The headset is completely over the ear by the way and super comfortable.

It blocks out sound electronically (can’t remember the official term) so it’s great if you have a noisy air con in your room. But you can also turn it off and it amplifies external sound too (when your better half wants to say something).

The thing I love most about it is that it’s really good for vocals. The bass isn’t as strong as let’s say the Sony MX4 (the new one) but for vocals it’s really crisp.

It’s a great all-rounder. I’m not an audiophile, but my wife is and she bought them for me when I was being indecisive.
