New iPod announcements here... :O

Here is the latest on the new iPods... :o

- new version of iTunes being shipped with ringtone software

- iTunes to offer ringtones, to sync to iPhone...

- Can also make your own custom rigntones...

- New iPod shuffle colors for holiday season... holiday colors are cranberry purple light green light blue and silver. Product red iPod shuffle as well

- New iPod Nano with video and cover Flow... all metallic

- New interface... Looky.

- It's super thin...

- Nano battery life... 24 hours audio, 5 hours video.

- 4 and 8 gb versions... Darn it! :x

- $149 and $199 respectively... Will be in stores this weekend.

On to the iPod...

- iPod to be officially cla.ss.ified as "Cla.ss.i.c iPod"

- Will also have metallic color sheme and is thinest main iPod yet.

- 80 and 160GB! :o

- 40 hours audio, 7 hours video

- Same features as newly announced Nano, and will cost $249 and $349 respectively

iPod Touch announced

- The iPod looks exactly like it does on the iPhone. Cover Flow, big album art, and flick flick flicking to get around. There's Video as well, same as on the iPhone, displayed on the 3.5-inch screen. Photo library's there as well (someone else's family, naturally), complete with pinch and swipe and all the iPhone junk.

- The iPod Touch has Wi-Fi. There's a Wi-Fi icon on the top left. Expect internet features soon.

- Can connect to the internet, and you can watch YouTube videos on it! Just like on the iPhone :o

- iPod Touch to be released and on sell before the end of the month...

iPhone (Now i'm confusing the iPhone with the iPod Touch! :lol:

- Suport for IMing in Facebook, so something like that...

- Starbucks integration: When you get near a Starbucks location, you'll get a Starbucks icon in iTunes Store. You can buy songs that are playing over the Starbucks music selection, and you can even look at the last 10 songs that's been played and buy the songs there.

- Both iphone and ipod will have the Starbucks feature, not sure about the Facebook thing though... :(

- Can download songs off of Wi-Fi, not on the EDGE network... which means downloading songs into iPhone is faster now

- More info: Exclusive with iTunes, no login required, completely free access ot the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store while at Starbucks (wow, free access to a STORE? thanks!). :roll:

The worst thing about this is that they announced a "shake-up of the entire iPod range, including the nano and shuffle players."

If that's what they call a shake-up, lord knows what they consider minor improvements. Changing the font on the packaging?

The new video nano is somewhat uninspired. I can honestly see the iPod market going downhill. They're simply not coming up with anything new and amazing any more.

That amazing new nano is basically just an iPod video but a bit smaller.

Why? They're allowed to change the ipod, otherwise we would still be at the first generation ipod. The idea of being betrayed by this is just ridiculous.

yeah they are but I-pod release products before they are properly finished for example if you had a 1st gen i-pod it was obsolete compared to the 2nd gen.... apple go about things like upgrading products completely the wrong way. my creative zen v plus still stomps all over the nano and its a 3 year old design.....

They look nice, but the prices and capacities are a joke. $399 for a 16GB media player is just too much.cjek

i agree but people will buy it. i will probably just get the 8 gig for christmas. i realy was waiting to get another ipod and if the touch is out before christmas im getting it. just want something cool. and again iphone is a joke imo but it makes the 16 look good.

Man, updating this thing was exhusting! So I think it was a pretty cool keynote... certainly better than some of the past ones. The iPod Touch is looking real good too, but $400 for a 16GB is kinda expensive.

Glad to see the iPhone had a price drop... $600 for a phone is just too expensive! ;)

iPod Touch uses flash memory, not hard drive...16gb is quite impressive already.

We all knew this was coming. I got my 30GB ipod last year, now it cost me the same as the 80GB model. I'm not too impressed with the ipod touch. Still a bit pricey and not enough storage space. Those new nanos are slick though and I feel bad for those who recently got the current model.

As far as iphones go, the $200 price cut is a start (sorry early adopters) but you still have to go with the crap service of AT&T Ctingular. No thank you at this time.
