I'll pass on the movie.

Oh you silly Ebert and your crazy reviews!Wilfred_Owen
"The characters in this movie should be arrested for loitering with intent to moan. Never have teenagers been in greater need of a jump-start. Granted some of them are more than 100 years old, but still: their charisma is by Madame Tussaud." "Yes, Edward (Robert Pattinson) is back in school, repeating the 12th grade for the 84th time. Bella sees him in the school parking lot, walking toward her in slow-motion, wearing one of those Edwardian Beatles jackets with a velvet collar, pregnant with his beauty. How white his skin, how red his lips. The decay of middle age may transform him into the Joker." Hahahaha, I love Ebert. :)
My Facebook stream is being filled with girls claiming it's the greatest movie of all time. I posted Ebert's review on mine. Kids these days, they'll buy whatever is sold to them. :roll:Razor-Lazorgah as an inspiring filmmaker like myself it makes me sick when people put blood, sweat and tears into great movies they are genuinely ignored and when other filmmakers do a terrible job at something people flock to go see it just cause of the damn name.
I never even saw the first one, and I must not be keeping up with teenage girl trends because I barely had any idea this was actually a popular thing. I saw the ads and just thought it looked like some godawful cheesy movie...which it apparently is. :PSpaceMooseIt looks really horrible from the trailers. Hell, I don't even like the way the werewolves transform. It's just... GOD aweful...
[QUOTE="Vaasman"]I know! Sparkly vampires! WTF! That's an affront to any vampire fan! :x Psshh. Anne Rice already ruined vampires. It's really sad this is the stuffthat people are reading right now. We're raising an entire generation on sparkly vampires and pathetic melodrama. I hope you're all happy in 10-20 years.

While we are in this vampire fetish moment in Hollywood, I really hope someone will take the reigns of Anne Rice's Vampire novels and continue the series. Interview With A Vampire was superb, so no need to remake that. Just see if you can get Tom Cruise to come back and reprise his role as Lestat for The Vampire Lestat, or they could get a new actor, just make sure he is capable. But I really do think they should completley remake Queen of the Damned because the movie completely butchered the novel and ommited 2 of the main characters in the novel. Also, the sheer amount of plot in the book means that this movie would have to be made into 2 or 3 parts. I would really love to see the series completed. Memnoch, The Devil is one of my all time favorite novels and would love to see a faithful movie version of it :D
