new york city college student faces jail time for runescape extortion

a 19yr old university student @ fordham university (NYC) faces genuine jail time for one of the msot bizarre extortion charges we will likely see in a US court.

the accused man supposedly held a BB gun to a fellow students head and demanded 4.7billion runescape gold transferred to his character :lol:

apparently the accused seen here:

attempted to first buy the gold off the student using what appeared to be fake US tender. when he got called out on his counterfeits he proceded to brandish a BB gun and threatend violence if the individual didnt make the 4.7billion in-game currency transaction. the victim later went to the police and now the accused faces 15 years in the slammer

the land of incarcerated have the world's (by far) highest incarceration rate for exactly that reason, handing how hundred years of sentences for often petty crimes.
