[QUOTE="TacticaI"]I just got back from the city, had a great time. Yeah the streets look dirty as hell, and it does smell funny in some areas, but it's never bothered me, can't imagine why. wis3boi
It's the lingering air from Jersey.....they call it the garden state just to try and hide it

 That's the exact response I was looking for.

Tell me where these pizzarias are.

MgamerBD

They're in Manhattan(the name of them are Papaya's) and aren't that great(but when I'm in the city I'd get a couple slices), especially if you had traditional brooklyn italian pizza.

There is one in Downtown Brooklyn also near LIU(Brooklyn Campus) called 2 brother's pizza. Also there is a Shake Shack. If you didn't know that BRHD...I told you. You need a social life. If your not too weird, I can help you out.

WTF does having or not having a social life have to do with knowing about a pizzaria? Nothing. On another note, do you live alone?

I have thought about it because I want to move to America next year. I don't like New York though. I lived in Athenes all my life and I want to live in a city more open. I am thinking of going to San Fransisco. What are your opinions?

NYC fascinates me. I really like visiting there, and I don't only like the tourist attractions or flashy areas. I like it all. It's a neat, unique, massive city with a lot of history, things to see, and great people-watching. I've enjoyed myself there immensely and often feel rather attracted to movies/books/shows which are set in NYC.

However, I would never want to live there. If I were to live in or near a big city, I'd rather it were Philadelphia, Chicago, or Minneapolis/St. Paul.

Big yay, because there I can sleep with a hot black chick!

Well I could do that anywhere in the US but it wouldn't be the same thing... I think...

Total Yay. When I get a stable job, I'll start saving a little of money every month so that in a couple of years I can travel to NY.

Born and raised in NYC. Moved away 15 years ago and miss some things. I live now in the American South which is boring and the people are a few points shy of being mentally retarded.

One thing I forgot to mention about New York City is its horrible subway system. You'd think that a city like New York would have a quality subway system, but it doesn't. It's the oldest one in the world. As a result, it looks like crap. The trains are very primitive compared to those of other cities, and the stations and tunnels are dirty, and have rats and peeling paint.

BluRayHiDef

From the all the subways I've ridden. Japan and Singapore are far cleaner and advanced than any other subway. You're right about that. But they cost an arm and a leg to use. When I was living in Yokosuka, it costs me nearly $20 just to go to Tokyo and back.

NYC's subway is the most expansive and cheapest. You can literary travel anywhere in the city for $2.25Just compare the density of a NYC subway map to any other metro. The entire city is literary covered in tracks.

Your post has redeemed the NYC subway system. I didn't know those facts. Thank you.

and regarding the facts, London Underground Tube system is the oldest one in the world.

I live here and love it but I worry that I'm not high-tempo enough to really get much out of this town.

To really enjoy NYC you have to be super-active and super busy.

And I'm more of a relaxed kind of guy that prefers to fish and camp over clubbing or climbing the corporate ladder.

I live about 20 miles away, but I hardly ever go there. Take it for what it's worth: crowded, expensive, dirty, fast, but also, as you said, one of the premier economic hubs of the whole world.

Its not the fact that you have too many cars, its the fact that most American city roads are laid out like grids = Terribly inefficient design On top of that you have crap traffic control systems.. you guys should hire someone from france, germany or the uk to handle your traffic control systems. It would probably cut traffic by 30% overnight lol
