Here's my question though. Why is it that it can be globally accepted that the face of the hip hop genre can be thrown on the persona of mainstream rappers, but for other genres, it can't. I can't rightly, on here or in casual conversation, use fall out boy for my rampant dislike for the rock genre, so why is it okay to use Soulja boy or fifty cent as your reasoning to dislike hip hop when there's equal depth in the genres?
