If this was made into a movie, would you watch it? Its a very interesting read.

I certainly like the way he brings back Maximus and the whole supernatural element.

It sounds interesting, I'd watch it, simply because I'm a fan of the first one.

Didn't like the first film, don't like Nick Cave, so the answer is probably no. It'd be quite an hilarious combination, though, so maybe.

Gladiator seems like it should just be left as is. I would have no interest in a sequel.

I would watch it just because I am a fan of the first movie, but I can gurantee that the sequel would be terrible in every way imaginable.

Interesting concept but I think a prequel would be more interesting, how Maximus rose to power and earned the trust of Caeser Marcus Aurelius, and the events leading up to the day when Marcus is killed by Commodus and exiles Maximus.

Some of his songs are good, but many actually take away from his lyrics due to indistinct singing or whatever, and the lyrics are of far higher quality than his music and singing IMO. In his work with The Bad Seeds anyway.

That would be a really great movie. The supernatural element was already set up in the first. And the ending of this script is amazing.

The first film was absolutely awesome. This is a sequel that doesn't need to be made.

The first film is a classic and I must say not one that has me begging for more, the script is interesting and clever but I would much rather go see it with it not linked at all to Gladiator.

NO. The first Gladiator was near perfection. I can't see any sequel coming close to it, and it would devalue the quality of the first one for me.

A sequel would be very unnecessary I think. I didn't find Gladiator to be all that great anyway. Certainly wasn't the best movie of the year it was released (Traffic was much better). Count me out.

I thought it was an interesting read, I couldn't see it getting made though. Also the theme is unclear to me at the end, at first I thought he was a defender of Christianity throughout history but him ending up in the Pentagon didn't quite fit. It would've made more sense to keep him someone who trains up the underdog against injustice and persecution.

I don't think it needed a sequel, but I would still see it. Should be good, but I doubt it will be as good as the original. Even if it's bad, you can always just deny it's existence (Ghostbusters 2? Never heard of it).

Nick Cave is a tremendously talented musician, and I think he's better left in that medium.

Gladiator is one of my favourite movies, so I'd definitely watch it. But at the same time, Gladiator was so good that it feels like it shouldn't be touched.

If Ridley Scott got behind this, it could definitely work out. A sequel doesn't necessarily have to be a bad thing.
