If this was made into a movie, would you watch it? Its a very interesting read.
I certainly like the way he brings back Maximus and the whole supernatural element.

Interesting concept but I think a prequel would be more interesting, how Maximus rose to power and earned the trust of Caeser Marcus Aurelius, and the events leading up to the day when Marcus is killed by Commodus and exiles Maximus.
I didn't read it for fear of spoilers, how does Maximus come back though?enterawesomeHow would there be spoilers? lol

Didn't like the first film, don't like Nick Cave, so the answer is probably no. It'd be quite an hilarious combination, though, so maybe.

Why don't you like Nick Cave?
Some of his songs are good, but many actually take away from his lyrics due to indistinct singing or whatever, and the lyrics are of far higher quality than his music and singing IMO. In his work with The Bad Seeds anyway. The first film is a classic and I must say not one that has me begging for more, the script is interesting and clever but I would much rather go see it with it not linked at all to Gladiator.
I thought it was an interesting read, I couldn't see it getting made though. Also the theme is unclear to me at the end, at first I thought he was a defender of Christianity throughout history but him ending up in the Pentagon didn't quite fit. It would've made more sense to keep him someone who trains up the underdog against injustice and persecution.
I don't think it needed a sequel, but I would still see it. Should be good, but I doubt it will be as good as the original. Even if it's bad, you can always just deny it's existence (Ghostbusters 2? Never heard of it).
