[QUOTE="THE_DRUGGIE"][QUOTE="CRS98"] At bay? What images have you tried not to see?CRS98
*narrows eyes*
The things I've seen would make a serial killer shake in their boots.
So is it like a specific form of futanari or just the general concept? No, I've been to a certain area of a certain place out of curiosity that's not as well-known. My brain is burning just thinking about it.[QUOTE="CRS98"][QUOTE="THE_DRUGGIE"]So is it like a specific form of futanari or just the general concept? Then think about lesbians.. oh, wait. Think about gay men having sex with each other. Maybe that'll help.
well I hope for the sake of the UK that this info is false.
Plus there are age restrictions on the websites that make sure you click and agree that you are over 18 which completely blocks all underage people from viewing such lewd material :P
(CLAPS) I love England. Their stopping children from viewing the worlds most disgusting and dangerous media. I hate porn. And if this stops the sexualization of kids I'm all for it. I hope it comes to Australia, America, Asia, The rest of Europe and small Island Countries too. This is brilliant
Well atleast they cut out the middle man.
Instead of banning tons of porn types and situations, just ban the whole thing. It saves us all a headache. Also how would this work, even? If it's like how every other police state "controls" the internet, could I not just get under it via the mystical seven proxies?

Too lazy to go copy and paste it from photobucket.
I also don't agree with the mindset that the world should be catered to kids. That us adults (which you will be far longer than you are as a kid) must have everything monitored, toned down, and be treated as if WE are kids just for the sake of "DA CHEEELDREN!"

You could, you know, just avoid it instead of forcing everyone to share your views via force?
Proof it destroys minds?

Well, I know people that are on the Porn every night. And their addicted to it and It's consuming them.[QUOTE="Pixel-Pirate"]

Yeah man, I'm serious. XD. Nah really though Porn is an abomination, it destroys minds. And it should be WIPED OUT!

Well, I know people that are on the Porn every night. And their addicted to it and It's consuming them. Not really proof. I also don't see how porn (which is not a chemically imbied item and as such can cause no physical addiction) should be to blamed for others weaknesses.
Are you also for banning alcohol, cigarettes, gambling, caffeine, sugar, etc because you can become addicted to them?
It terrifies me that people support such things as banning of free choice to protect "the children".
Do parents just not exist? I think it scares me the most because the lack of much outrage shows it could happen anywhere.
I really don't think thats a bad idea. Last thing a 8 year old needs in his life with ritalian already being pushed on him, and all the issues of today is to accidently stumping on pics of his mom sucking wiener on the net.BIG-BOSSMAN
Then don't let the 8 year old use the net. I don't see why everyone else must be treated like children.
Fun fact: If a kid is curious about sex and sex related material, he is going to find out/some one way or the other. So let's not waste time making it any harder.SeraphimGoddess
This.
I actually think keeping sex taboo and trying to keep people far FAR away from anything sexual is far more harmful to ones psyche and development than just letting them see it and explaining it and letting it be.

I've always believed when a child has become curious about something like what sex is and all the related topics and wants to know more, he/she is perfectly ready to be educated about it.yikes.
wonder how long till the censor freaks in the US pen up a similiar bill.
hammerofcrom
I'm not sure if that'd fly. I also doubt any ISP's here would go along with it.

lol, yeah It'd never pass. but I could still see some politicians going "oooo lets be sophisticated like them" and proceeding to waste time/money into it, if only to plant the seed out there for future irritations.
Well OT, if most of these posts are anything to go by, you get the gold medal for gullibility.
One minor and insignificant MP's outlandish ideas that are opposed by even the members of her own party =/= a government plan that will swiftly be put in action.
Here is a less horrible article on the subject that doesn't make stupid, unjustified claims and statements.
Here's the story on the BBC:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-11822874
And one which was just added from ISPs and industry experts, pointing out why such a block is not possible:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-12041063
I'm not worried. It just seems like this MP doesn't have a basic grasp of how the internet works and how people use it, and as a result of her naivety has come up with an idea that is simply impossible to implement.
This kind of thing happens all the time in parliament. One MP doesn't like something, wants to aggressively and unlawfully censor it, brings it up in the House of Commons, gets shot down, never spoken of again. Nothing to worry about.
porn distorts the views on sex more than educating you on. while i disagree with porn i disagree with this law far more.Yet, there trying to make us learn about sex when were 9.
WTF?
S1MSTA
Not a problem for me but that sucks for the UK. I don't see whats wrong with porn. Sex is just naturall. They will want to have sex uncontrollably regardless of whether they watched porn or not when they hit puberty. Parents just need to learn how to regulate it.

If you got rid of porn completly do you realize how MANY marriages will be destroyed!!!
This would be good for the UK if true. Could save a lot of young innocent minds.MATheKingRight, because god forbid the parents to actually parent their children, right? It'll never happen anyway, it's just a plan.
How exactly is it a good idea? It's the parents responsibility, not the governments. It's just another example of everyone suffering people certain people don't have the first idea how to parent.seems like a good idea to me.
i wish all these idiots would stop saying oh lol how ironic this is without explaining themselves.
jpph
Seems like a lot of people missed the point and didn't catch the part about it being a suggestion, not something that they'll put into law next week.
Since you have the option to call and opt-in to get the porn it probably wouldn't be that big of a deal anyway. Most of the people complaining would be the teen boys who don't have that option and can't surf with InPrivate/Incognito/whatever private mode their browser offers. It would suck for the married guys who have uptight wives who "forbid" their husbands from looking at it. The only big issue I see out of it if this got passed is the possibility of ISPs charging extra for the privilege of having access to porn sites. But it's really not that much different than how the dirty channels on cable worked prior to the Internet age (and still work now); they're automatically blocked unless you explicitly add them or order the PPVs.
This is hilarious. Obviously whoever thought this law up and the people in favor of it have little experience with the internet. Porn is easily the most abundant thing on the internet. All blocking porn sites does is block the paid sites that children can't access now anyway since politicians/baby boomers are locked into the old media way of thinking which is "the only way to get porn is to pay for it". It doesn't occur to them that the vast majority of porn on the internet is either amatuer or pirated and thus is not only free but also goes completely undetected by the government since such sites and channels typically have much less regard forporn trade laws than the legit sites and channels.

Number 1 @ what??
At FREEDOM of course. Well actually we are #1 at just about everything.:PNo, I can honestly say there's a list of countries I'd rather visit before USATo be fair, the government usually only does that stuff because parent groups lobby for it and politicians know that "protecting the children" can only substantially improve their approval ratings and chances for re-election (since no one can argue against them lest they be accused of trying to "harm our children").
