im 13 so i dont watch the news and i havn't heard my parents or any1 talking about it. so we're definatly joining together like the united kingdom?Alacoque72
Yes. For sure.
Who is bringing this into effect? Shouldn't there be some kind of vote from the people on something as momentous as this?NephilimRising
You were supposed to vote when you voted in your State Primary this year. You voted in your Primary, right? It should have all been on the same ballot.
What state are you from? This article from CNN says that some states had multiple ballots...

Been planning for awhile, but they just told the people recently.
so is there going to be one president/prime minister/Prime president for the whole thingAlacoque72
I'm not sure to be honest. They might have a few.

No, it's like the European Union. Each of the countries maintains its existing governmental figure heads, but now operates under a single framework for things like economy, trade and currency. It's a pretty solid system. We'll also have better regulation over the borders throughout the entire continent.

Texas. I wasn't eligible to vote during primary season. But why pair something as important as this with something as trivial as the primary?

They needed to add it in on short notice.
[QUOTE="H8sMikeMoore"]I definitely dont support thisAlacoque72
why not wat could be bad about it
Everyone has their own opinions about this,I for one completely support the NAU.[QUOTE="Alacoque72"]so is there going to be one president/prime minister/Prime president for the whole thingCheddarLimbo

so we're not actually going to be all 1 country?
so on facebook there was a group against the north american union. the flag was canada's usa's and mexico's put together. r they actually thinking of joining together? that would be coolAlacoque72
Yep, its awesome. You should also join some of my groups, such as the Anti Line Dancing Alliance(ALDA), Campus Crusaders Killed My Dog, and Organic Chemistry is Putting a Damper on my Partying, to name a few. We are all just as serious as the north american union
Would be interesting if it did ever happen. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_American_Unionskizz624
Right on. Talks about it have definitely been going on between the 3 North American bodies of government.
Will it happen/be official within our lifetmie? I think so.
[QUOTE="H8sMikeMoore"]I definitely dont support thisCheddarLimbo
Well, it's a little late for that now, don't you think?
its never too late
Well I might as well spoil the future for you guys. Here goes. ;)
There will be an EU (European Union) as well and an AU (Asian Union). The AU will basically, eventually consist of all of Asia. The EU will rule pretty much all of Africa too. The AU will invade and conquer Europe and the EU. While this is happening the NAU will collapse from internal stress and a civil war will spark between two sides distinguished as the Federalists and the Patriots. Canada will join the Federalists while Mexico will join the Patriots. The Patriots will eventually win and once that is over the AU will invade America and conquer the rest of North America. After that the AU will easily take South America. All the world is the AU's and that's the summation to World War III.

no spoilers!!:x
First the EU, now the NAU? Pretty soon we'll have the Asian Union as well. Then everyone will see how well it works and they'll all join into one big union. Can anybody say One World Government? I don't like the sound of that. Reminds me too much of the end time prophecies in the Bible.KH-mixerX
can you tell me what those prophicies say about that? im interested
[QUOTE="DivergeUnify"]This can't be real. I just googled north american union- I got a theoretical page on it from wiki and an artical from 2007...CoreyNT
... Well no **** hard to figure out sarcasm by reading, but this was toooo funny.
well I dunno, everyone was just saying "yeah it's happening" :(First the EU, now the NAU? Pretty soon we'll have the Asian Union as well. Sadly, a lot of people pretend to be oblivious to it, even tho right now we have an African Union - European Union and Union of South American Nations, which should be hints/evidence of the "harmonizing/unionizing" of governments
I haven't seen the news at all today and I thought the people here were joking because the NAU is often something that people ridicule conspiracy theorists about. Is this really happening, and why the sudden media exposure?R0cky_Racc00n
I'd suggest everyone give those conspiracy theorists a second glance. Google PNAC (Project for the New American Century) for starters, or even YouTube it. Everything is connected and calculated. People laugh at me for offering YouTube videos talking about conspiracy theories, but what difference does it make if it's a video posted on YouTube or some other site? I think it's very important that people educate themselves on this topic and not be ignorant. Ignorance is the last thing the world needs right now. Here's a video for people who haven't even heard of a conspiracy theory.
