Number of messages read?

What exactly does that mean? Does that mean forum posts that I've lurked thru, or is it the grand total of articles and other stuff on this site... I ask because my count is so, high.

If you read a thread with 3000 posts, it will be at 3000.

If you go to the end of a thread with 3000 posts and read none of the posts, it will still be 3000. At least, that's my understanding.

I just noticed both of your post counts... 30k and 45k and I don't even have 1K, yet... I'm level 20 while both of yours don't seem all the much higher. I show 20K post read, though.....

I'm used to IGN's forum's, really....

its pretty much an unaccurate count of the number of posts you have read

I used to have my pages display 50 messages per page so I could just read them all faster rather than loading a new page(that's if I had 20 messages per page)... with that said....

I don't remember my total, and I don't feel like looking, but I'm pretty sure that it's over 9,000.

Well at least they fixed the space bug.... I've noticed that I no longer have posts with tons of words strung together, anymore. There are actually spaces in between words, now....

I think it recounts the posts every time you re-visit a thread (which is pretty stupid). When I used to be active in the Roll Call threads my numbers jumped by a million in a matter of weeks.

I have around 2,850 posts and 267,163 posts read. As long as my posts are at least 1% of my posts read, Im good.

Hmm.. Do you have the WYSIWYG editor on? That usually messes up everything. I use Opera 9.23 identified as FireFox with the WYSIWYG editor off. It works perfectly.

Although then you have to learn HTML and BB code. I taught myself how. jaydough
