Of course. You should know as well I Obama is a commi. That is Comrade Barack to you.[QUOTE="Bourbons3"]Again, Obama isn't a socialist. He's nowhere near being a socialist. The US needs to get over that.Link256
I think it'sevident in his policies that he's not a very liberal guy. He's making deals with Republicans at every turn, when he could be using his powerful majority to get actual progressive legislation past. This crisis is the Republicans' and libertarian's fault (for the most part), so I think they should have the least say in what goes on in order to fix their problems.

Thats because he is forced to, the vast majority of the democrats in house are a bunch of weaklings.. Seriously look at the whole Gitmo bay fiasco, where Obama tried to rally the dems to close it down as a holding area for terrorists... They all caved in to Republican weak claims of them being on our soil, even though we have never had a escape from a maximum security prison..Thats because he is forced to, the vast majority of the democrats in house are a bunch of weaklings.. They're so concerned with looking good for elections they forget to have policies. :roll:

Also true, and it's mostly the 'moderate' democrats fault (they're the ones blocking us on healthcare, too...)

The thing is that I despise most about it, is its not even the fact they were originally against it.. They were for it, intill some one rose their voice and than they completely did a 180. Its really infuriating.I don't really see any real reason why this poster is any more "unsettling," offensive, or "dangerous" than any other political image that criticizes a politician. It's not a personal attack, and big picture wise, it's nothing particularly remarkable. That the image causes such controversy is, in my mind, just an indicator of Obama's ferociously devoute supporters and the cult of personality that he had going on last year. This poster isn't anything special, nor is it anything particularly wrong or harmful. Paladin_King
I don't think anyone here actually finds it genuinely offensive...I for one don't, and Obama is my guy (though I disagree with some of his more conservative policies).

Oh I know, I was just talking about the site that was linked to, with the KTLA news report having a guy saying it was dangerous.[QUOTE="Overrated_Hero"]:lol: I officially name you winner of this thread. Damn and I just deleted the post to. :(And I thought my jokes were bad.

That's causing controversy? Man, some people are sensitive.Cube_of_MooNIt's causing controversy in the same way my saying, "What do you think about the controversy surrounding Cube_of_MooN's latest post?" is causing controversy. In other words, there IS no controversy but summer is slow for the networks and newspapers so they look around, grab something, call it a controversy and suddenly everyone else is supposed to hop onboard and discuss the controversy.
Yes, yes it is.[QUOTE="awsss"]
What the hell is with Americans and socialism? It's not like it's a bad thing. I mean, Canada is almost socialist and they're socially regarded to higher standards than the US politically.

Hmmm. I think Vanity Fair did a joker poster for Bush in 2008. I guess someone just took that idea and applied to Obama. Would be funny if this appeared in every city in the US.
And honestly, if anyone is offended by this, they are freakin' hypocrites. If someone can write a book about assassinating Bush, then someone can make little posters that slander Obama's policies. If someone can take a crucifix and put it upside down in a jar of urine and have it be called art, then someone can make a poster that defames Obama as a raving socialist.
@Rusteater:
Hi hitler Now anyways, why do Americans seem to hate socialism?(lol, I don't think that all socialist dictatorships are helmed by smooth-talking insane mass murderers.)

It goes against what our country was founded upon. A free market. We have been destroying that for years.
Our government is supposed to be small and should stay out of the way in economic and most social issues. It does not. Our government has grown huge because the people wanted it that way. They wanted somebody to fix everything for them, they wanted something to blame.
Finally people are realizing that our government has grown to much, but they put the blame on only one man, Obama. The truth is the US government has been increasing in size since the 40s. Every president since then has increased it by a considerable amount.

The number of people needed to have a controversy seems to get lower and lower all the time.
The only thing i find offensive about that poster is that whoever made it thinks that the goals of Obama and the goals of the Joker are the same thing.

Yes, yes it is. Omg seriously people there is no socialist nation in the west.. They are all in the middle like the United States.. Some are just more left leaning as opposed to the United States.. If it were black and white, the United States were socialist a long time ago.Yes, yes it is.[QUOTE="Pirate700"]
