Once again our president continues his streak of disappointment by refusing the ice bucket challenge. Not only that our selfless leader only managed to donate a measly $100. On one hand he gets paid a huge amount of money and is a multimillionaire and thus should strive to donate more to charity given that our leaders should set an example.

On the other hand you know the schmuck used taxpayer money to do this so perhaps we should be happy he donated so little of our money to this charity. I wish he would realize just how broke our country is and spend less for a change, but he's a democrat so that will likely never happen.

86 year old Ethel Kennedy took the challenge however.

She's a true patriot in my eyes.

The whole point of the challenge is to dump ice on yourself OR donate $100. You only donate more if you actually dump ice on yourself.

you don't think the president should set an example by donating more than the minimum required amount? Or at the very least his own money?

I think we should all try setting an example by donating our own money. How much of your own money have you donated to charity today?

Don't know about today, but I donate $2000 to various charities each year. I did give a homeless man $20 last week when I was coming off my lunch break. How about you good sir?

Ice Bucket challenge is pathetic and the people who do it are even more pathetic even if it is for charity it is a sign of human stupidity and a decline in the quality of culture to the point that the population is reduced to low grade morons.

Why don't you worry about how much you are going to donate.

"you don't think the president should set an example by donating more than the minimum required amount?"

He has set an example, if everyone donated $100.....

Expecting the leader of our country to set an exemplary example should hardly be considered trolling.

If he took the challenge, I'm sure naysayers would still find something negative to say about him: like how unprofessional he is and how he can't take his job as president seriously.

No, we don't.

even the article suggests as much, plus being a democrat we know he is much more willing to give away other people's money as opposed to his own.

I'm dumbfounded that you are actually complaining about people donating money to charity. Awful trolling, should make it more subtle next time.

It's no worse than the liberal media outlets like MSNBC or CNN.

@Aljosa23: Doing something ridiculously stupid to donate money to charity. Just donate money to charity. Such a mindless moron. I criticise something stupid but oh no can't do that it has got something to do with charity how about if people were hitting their heads with a hammer for charity and I say it is moronic I will be told to shut up for that because it has something to do with charity. Get over yourself.

So in other words, you donated nothing today.

Don't freaking talk to me about what you've donated previously. I'm sure the president has donated money previously, yet you're still giving him shit for donating more than $100 this time.

Why are people getting upset over the ice water thing anyhow. But yeah, the tc is a troll so just don't engage him in a serious fashion since you'll just be engaging in some play acting

The poor give money to the poorer while the rich elite give little to charity compared to their wealth. COMPARED TO THEIR WEALTH. No one say in response so and so gave 10k. 10K IS LIKE 10 CENT TO THESE PEOPLE. And I am talking about rich elites multi-billionaires.

Obama is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. The press and opponents can put a negative spin on anything the guy does.
