[QUOTE="LJS9502_basic"][QUOTE="Mystic-G"] I don't think anyone would believe it was a fact in the way I stated it. You'd have to be completely oblivious to somehow think that it was a scientific study. I can't help but think you just wanna debate the small amount of common sense on this forum just for the sake of it. Mystic-G

The dude that quoted you believe it. Misinformation bothers me....

So you know for a fact that he thought it was a real percentage and not made-up? I think you're misinforming me.

Doesn't matter what he believes. It matters that you have presented your argument as accurate...and before you disagree I recommend reading over your answers.

[QUOTE="scorch-62"]Agreed. I've noticed that his left eye sparkles a number of times in quick succession during his speeches as a message to his terrorist buddies that signal the hour of a military attack.THE_DRUGGIE

Also, his right eye contains a microchip that transmits cIassified information to China every time he says the words "hope" and "change."

And his ears transmit even more classified information to Russia.

[QUOTE="Osaka-06"][QUOTE="ekultus"] Damn lol all you guys should have just voted "I love TV" as your minds are stuck in a false left right paradigm. I am not a R or a D, I don't own, pay or watch tel-lie-vision but from these responses I can tell you guys do. They picked out all your arguments for you, Poly want a cracker? Snipes_2

lol, I don't even have American news channels and I'm not even left wing. calling Obama a traitor is Fox News material.

"I don't even have American news channels "" Fox News material."

I don't get it.

We don't get American news channels were I live, so I'm not exposed to any kind of bias since I don't watch them on a regular basis. I have however watched Fox News before and I'm well aware of how they report news and their political stance. The thing is, you don't have to watch a channel 24/7 to know that it's utter garbage. Do you understand it now?

[QUOTE="SilentSoprano"]

[QUOTE="kayoticdreamz"] LOL democrats say stupid stuff as daily as republicans do no idea how you can miss it they probably say more stupid stuff. but i guess Fox news is the only station that ever reports it. i'd advise checking it out. becoming informed is your friendkayoticdreamz

Isn't Fox News insanely right wing though? I'd rather watch or read an unbiased news source (if there is such a thing).

hmm 1 right wing station oh hell the only right wing news station vs every other news station is hardcore leftist. ya lets balance that out a little bit DOWN WITH THE ONE RIGHT WING STATION. sorry im right wing i oppose liberalism aka communism. and its a bit of a misconception i suppose Fox news does encourage you to research the stuff they say. and quite honestly they report stuff other stations refuse to cause they have big news breaks like lindsay lohan is in court or the never ending oil spill marathon for freakin hours on end daily which is great if i thought for a second anyone would do a thing about it. really should try Fox news instead of jumping on the hate wagon must be a reason the ratings are high.

Liberalism isn't Communism :| And while FOX News may be in the minority on TV, all of the popular talk-radio shows are right-wing in content.

Duh? 1. Most Americans support the Immigration Law of Arizona, yet he is suing them on false pretenses. Ironically, the justice department is suing for 'racial profiling' but they refused to sue the Black Panthers. Makes perfect sense. They either have not read the law - which you can do on securetheborder.org - or don't want gullible people to read it and are using this as a distraction. 2. The Government's responsibility is to protect our rights and freedom. Yet they have given up sovereignty in Southern Arizona and aren't doing anything to stop the violence. Arizona asked for 3,000 troops, it got less than 600. 3. Obama is bullying BP instead of admitting that a lack of regulation and inspection - probably due to bribes - on the part of the government would have prevented this in the first place. And he isn't helping anybody by putting a moratorium on drilling. 4. General McChrystal did what he did because Obama isn't giving him the troops he needs to win the war. If the media had actually bothered to report what the Rolling Stone article said, one of McChrystal's staff officers said that they may ask for 30,000 more troops in the summer of 2011. Isn't it interesting that McChrystal leaked information that he wanted 40,000 when Obama sent 20,000 last year? 5. The government has failed to realise that Keynesian economics is horse****. Look at what happened in Weimar Germany when the government kept printing more money -- it became worthless. The New Deal didn't end the great depression, either. The complete mobilisation of our economy, and the mobilisation of 12 million people for the military, and the efforts of women to support our economy, is what brought us out of depression; the Marshall Plan continued the process. 6. The government cannot afford all of the welfare programs it has. Social Security, medicare, medicaid 1, medicaid 2, all amount to $100 trillion in unfunded liabilities. As if we could afford national health care, too. Furthermore, most Americans who actually wanted national health care wanted a public option. They didn't get it. 7. The government does not have the power to control education standards. Look up "Kansas 8th grade exam 1895" and you'll see how much better education was when we had local control over local affairs. In short, the Obama administration, like many before it, is a mockery of representative government.

lqtm what about Bush, or chenny, haliburton, or texas school's board of education...

Before Obama gets called this, look at these people first, they deserve this title considerably more.

Only a handful of laws are put into place to protect people, the others are to protect the money making industries, and to create criminals. This whole system is out-dated. We as a nation, as a species, need to evolve.

[QUOTE="Ninja-Hippo"][QUOTE="Snipes_2"] I assumed "I don't even have American news Channels" meant he didn't watch watch it. Other news stations like CNN/MSNBC make me lol/rage too.

Lots of news stations are terrible at credible journalism, particularly in the american media. Fox just gets most of the heat because they have no subtlety about it.

They aren't terrible at credible Journalism though. :/

Erm, this is a lie. The justice Department is suing them over whether the law breaches the supremacy and commerce clauses of the United States constitution. Mainly the pre-emptive nature of immigration policy. Not racial profiling at all.

In theory he's not making policy...but the parties align with their president. When's the last time a party in power didn't agree to all agendas of their president? Presidents CAN AND DO present bills/programs they want enacted so saying they have no power is disingenious. While they can't pass law...they can heavily influence it. The checks and balances are to insure no one office has ultimate power...but it doesn't mean they don't have influence nor power.

I've read through the whole thread, don't make assumptions (funny, not making assumptions is something you always tell other people to do  ).

chessmaster1989

No he clearly stated his opinion had merit opposed to opinions of other.

He defended the idea behind the made-up statistic, not the statistic itself.

No he posted more than once that what he posted had merit....opposed to others. To paraphrase his argument. It's there...in his posts.;)

[QUOTE="LJS9502_basic"]I'm not sure how you made that leap. It IS his policies we're talking about here....

LJS9502_basic

The "see what he is attempting to do in the long term" can be applied to every political figurehead in governments.

The president is mainly a figurehead, and is not the one running things, It is much easier to run a chaotic nation/world from behind closed doors, (to people that don't even comprehend the possibility of your group/s presence. (many of the policies implemented by both bush, and obama were well in the works long before they became president)... This does not need to be blindly dismissed.

Lqtm the president calmly and quietly does what he is told to do.

I read the thread title, "Obama the tailor?" I was hoping to see that he released his own clothing line. But no, he isn't a traitor.

I realize this, but he is not the one running the country my friend if you do think this, seems you may need to study the motif behind this country..

It is a very common misunderstanding that the President is the one running things. Big business runs more in this nation than the president has, and that is easily evident.

Meh, you're the one who should go back and read his posts:

"I don't think anyone would believe it was a fact in the way I stated it. You'd have to be completely oblivious to somehow think that it was a scientific study."

Like I said, he was defending the idea and not the statistic itself. His own statement backs this up.

By the way, in case you never realized it, adding ";)" doesn't make your posts more valid.

I am Obama neutral. Yes, very much so. I hear Jesus stories, anti-Christ stories, and the in-between all the time. So it's hard to see what's what. So I voted "I love TV" even though I kinda really don't watch television at all. Anyways, the reason I posted wasn't exactly for Obama, but for a little argument going on about made-up statistics?
I suggest you read over your own, you presented it to me as if he in fact took my statement as the scientific truth rather than a judgment call. So telling me it doesn't matter what he thinks now is a lovely way to debunk your own post and avoid being called out as a hypocrite to your own words. GuyWithTheMonkeyThing
Right after this post, the argument pretty much should have ended and has gone downhill afterwards. No offense to the other music man, but, I am also someone that believes that MonkeyDude's made-up percentage was a figure of speech from the get-go.There's no reason to try and pick apart his words any longer. Unless the guy he was talking to suddenly says "I 100% took this as scientific statistics", then the whole thing was an argument for the sake of arguing. And I'm the only guy allowed to do that!
