On July 10, Barack Obama will be meeting with his Holiness in the Vatican after the G-8 Summit. That week the Pope is also meeting with Japanese PM Taro Aso and Australian PM Kevin Rudd. It appears to be a busy week for the Supreme Pontiff, as July 7 he will finally release his latest encyclical, "Caritas in Veritate". None of the articles mention it, but Obama will probably meet the Pope in the Pope's library, which is the usual place for foreign heads of state to meet the Pope, though last summer President Bush was granted the special privilege of meeting the Pope in his private garden (as a reward for his hospitality to the Pope during his visit to the U.S. last April).
