Everybody has that band they love that very few people have heard of. My personal obscure band would have to be The Frames. If I lived in Ireland everyone would know who i'm talking about, but in the U.S. nobody knows them. The solo acoustic version of 'Say it to me Now' is mindblowing. Check it out. What are your obscure bands?

I don't, every band i listen to was highly mainstream at their peak. Metallica, The Who, The Rolling Stones... All of them.

Half of the metal I listen to could be considered obscure.

And I don't think many people have heard of The Pillows.

I thought a ton of people do. There was some Japanese metal thread posted a while ago and a fair amount of people listen to them.

Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Pink Floyd.....I think OT needs to check them out.
Seriously, I listen to a large variety of bands...but I'm sure they've been heard of by others here.
Most bands that I listen to are fairly mainstream in the metal community but generally speaking they are fairly unknown. Sonata Arctica, Nightwish, Lacuna Coil... etc. though I do listen to a local band from Philly. The drummer is a junior at the college I go to. The band is called Outset. They have 2 CD's out. You could describe them as "California Pop"... kinda happy uplifting sounding songs.

I don't listen to too much that's truly obscure...I don't know, Bright Eyes, The Stills, Scary Kids Scaring Kids. I doubt those are real obscure though.

I assume you're able to fully spell out "because" and "your" since you can spell "presume". So do it.

Pft, that's about all of them. Very few regular people have heard of them anyway, ie. the people not on the internet 3 hours plus a day.
