Name the first 5 movies that come to mind when I ask you to name your top 5 favorite movies in no particular order.

Mine are:

• "[F-word-ing] Amal" (aka "Show Me Love" in the US and Europe) -- Swedish Teen Romance Movie
• "Far From Heaven" - Jullian Moore, Dennis Quaid and Denis Haysbert in an interracial rommance that take place in the 1950s.
• "Flirting" - This movie has a young Nicole Kidman, but the true stars are Thandie Newton and Noah Taylor. Another interracial rommance set in Australia.
• "The Nightmare Before Christmas" - Jack Skellington wants to bring Christmas to Halloween town! A childhood favorite!
• "Tipping The Velvet" - Lesbian trying to live and love in Victorian England. Based on a novel by Sarah Waters. Aired as a minseries.
• "Fingersmith" - Just finished watching this gem of a movie 10 minutes ago. Based on a Sarah Waters novel and it's fantastic!

I like when people react spontaneously. I can guarantee you that if you post a list of your 5 top movies after having thought about it for a while, you would probably have a different list. I think people know what movies they really enjoy, then they start to think about what other people will think of them, and if their movies hold any artistic value and so on, and thus change their choices. This way, I now have a list of movies people genuinely like, so I'm more willing to check em out (this is assuming people did what the thread topic asked :x )
