Official: NBC cancels 'Heroes'

I thought it went downhill long ago.

"It's official. NBC has cancelled "Heroes."

The network seriously mulled bringing back "Heroes" for a shortened final season to wrap up the serialized show, possibly as a two- or four-hour movie.

In the end, given the fairly high cost of the drama, the show's consistently declining ratings and the number of new hour-longs coming to NBC next season, the network decided the UMS-produced series wasn't worth an additional episode order.

Among the network's new shows, there's several entries aimed at genre fans --superhero drama "The Cape,""24"-****conspiracy thriller "The Event"and J.J. Abrams'light-hearted spy drama "Undercovers."Also, of course,"Chuck" is coming back.More to come..."

And season 4 was going so well too! Full of non-plotholes and 100% consistency, not to mention great acting!

I had a feeling this would happen, this last season was by far my least favorite. Maybe a cable network will pick it up so they can finish any ideas that had for closure.

I was a big fan in the beginning but after a while i just lost interest... :?

Oh my god seriously?....I love Heroes. Even if it sucked really bad the last few seasons--I still rather have it on the air. I'm going to miss it.

I can understand why it's being cancelled. I watched all the reasons, but eh. I would have liked for it to come back for a couple show wrap-up, but there's not really that much to wrap up.

As long as Chuck is still on, I'm happy.

That sucks!!!

The writers strike really killed the show and the some of the qwritting and characters were inconsistent, bit I still really liked it.

I've never watched Heroes so I don't really care about the show but it bothers me how all these broadcasting companies can cancel their shows so easily. I understand that they are trying to run a business and make a profit but do they have any respect to the shows that have brought them in so much money in the past. Just let them finish the show off with a feature length like they were thinking. Finales always have high ratings so it's hardly like they will lose tons of money because of it.

The first season was incredible. One of my favorite shows, right up there with Firefly and Star Trek. Everything after that has just been insulting to it.

I watched half of the first season but then it just got to weird for me.

actually I don't watch that show but it boggles my mind that people don't learn their lesson with that guy. The stuff he does is gold only in the beginningbefore he has to start explaining stuff.
