 Oh my gosh, that's a really long time! They've been on fillers since last June I think....Sky-
[QUOTE="ProjectTrinity"]I don't really watch any series that drags out too long, Bleach included. (Though the FIRST Grimmjow fight with Ichigo was sick as sin) I stick to the animes that have interesting plots and don't rely on "TEH EPIC BATTLES". Any of you heard of Gankutsuou? No? Shame.ShuichiChamp24
So only one season anime? 12-15 episodes animes? Usually the epic battle really falls short of the name no?
Or two season (Death Note, Fullmetal Alchemist) anime. Either way, I could survive and enjoy an anime without violence. Bleach however NEEDS it in order to be interesting enough to watch 200+ episodes.I don't really watch any series that drags out too long, Bleach included. Yes, yes I have. And I also most reccomend Gankustuou: The Count of Monte Cristo. If you liked the book, you will love the anime.
I'd also reccomend Serial Experiment Lain, Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, Hellsing Ultimate, and Neon Genesis Evangelion (just don't become one of those crazy fans), for those who might want to make the jump into seinen anime.
I thought it was going to be Naruto :PThe sad thing is I knew this topic would be about Bleach just from reading the title...

So far, this man would be the only opinion I'd actually listen to for anime on this thread.I agree. There are some gems, though.Ah, filler. Pretty much the main reason shonen anime sucks, besides being kiddy and derivative...
black_cat19
Exactly.
I'll take Serial Experiments Lain, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Baccano!, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Ga-Rei Zero, Full Metal Alchemist (best shounen ever with NO filler!), Chobits, etc., over any of those insanely long (and insanely boring) 500+ episodes and counting shounen animes anyday.
black_cat19
The only one I didn't or couldn't get into in that list is Haruhi Suzumiya. Everything else there is gold though.
There was supposed to be a 4th season with the Enishi arc, but they didn't due to development costs or whatever. T_TRurouni Kenshin was one of the worst culprits when it came to fillers. The entire final arc was fillers for goodness sake.

You're wrong, not all shonen anime suck, some are amazing like Saint Seiya which is a classic.6_volts
Yeah, I know they don't all suck; Rurouni Kenshin and Saint Seiya are two of my favorites, even WITH the filler, but generally speaking... I'd rather not watch shounen if at all possible. :P
Yeah, the amazing thing about Saint Seiya is that they barely used any fillers except for the Asgard part, but it was so amazing that it didn't feel like a filler at all! :O wow not i havent seen this one yet. i think ill youtube this tonight. hey sorry about last night everybody. after watching bleach last night i went RIGHT to sleep. i think it was 3 or 4 something in the AM!Yeah. Me too. They dragged that zanpakuto filler for far too long. After Muramasa died, it should have end there. But they had to ruin an otherwise decent filler by dragging it on and on...The sad thing is I knew this topic would be about Bleach just from reading the title...

And the ending was flat too. Absolutely terrible....

Well, to be fair, the "Son of God" arc was the last thing I ever watched from Rurouni Kenshin, so that may explain why it remains one of my favorites to this day. :P
To be honest after shi shio everything was lulzy, I got throug son of god but then these wind guys came in the picture doing weird moves and I was like.. k time to stop watching this lol. Also reflections was pretty bad compared to the other ovas.
I have the OVAs, and never watched reflections. -_- I think the reason why I don't bother watching it is because of I don't want to see Kenshin die...>_>[QUOTE="Pvt_r3d"][QUOTE="black_cat19"][QUOTE="xionvalkyrie"]
I don't watch any 100+ episode anime either.
I generally like to stick with either 1 or 2 season shows. Shows that drag out for longer generally lose a ton of quality due to the fact that they have to stretch the animation budget and the fact that they have a bunch of fillers.

when u say 500+ u talking about one piece and naruto? well one piece dont have to many fillers and its never boring[QUOTE="ice144"]That filler story with the zanpaktous is infinitely better than what was happening in the canon in the meantime...tocool340......can some one tell me what's the name of the anime in this guy sig? I asked him a couple times better never got a response.... My bad, lol. It's from one of the openings of Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood.

It just seems completely irrelevant to anything that goes on in that show.

i tried but i just couldnt get into that filler arc. i didnt even start off on an interesting note to me. EP 266 starts the new episodes...lol i like filler episodes but i jsut couldnt get into these for some reason. they were justnot interesting to me at al.....it probably was the fact that i was so bleeding to see what happens in the espada series next. the way they left us hanging should be against the law!Am i only person who likes filler episodes on animes?I always find them funny
