yes that is what happens and it has happend to all forms of monster creatures if creatures are not taken to new lengths then we wouldn't have the different looking, acting monsters we do. Also vampires wouldn't be what they "are today" since the way they are portrayed was not the way they started the vampire was taken to new lengths and thats how the ones everyone seem to be fans of came into being.

I don't think it's "evil". I just think it's popularity is a step back in literature. It's poorly written, has shallow characters, is very inaccurate with vampire lore, and quite misgynistic to boot.

I can't seem to find anyone that mentions the vampires playing baseball. I mean, really? Vampires playing baseball? Is this book/movie even serious.
