If I ever saw that and it chased me. I would run like the track star but thats the thing most the time you never see them as their either burrowed in the ground or hiding somewhere in your house, Oh but in summer the males usually run everywhere looking for mates.[QUOTE="MgamerBD"]If I ever saw that and it chased me. I had one almost the same size as that running near the top of my ceiling. When I smash it with a shoe, it literally split in half and one half of it actually ran a few feet before dying. Then my cat came along to eat its remains....
Something like this?

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH **** no, no not eating that, nonononono. No way. It's a waterbug. It has a very painful bite.just spray it with any household cleanser, when it falls off the wall, catch it in the dustpan and toss it in the toilet. One nice flush and its the general public drinking water's problem now. Problem Solved.AllicrombieSuch a degree of expertise on the matter :o Something tells me this is a common issue on your place

Surely no bugs, beetles, insects, whatever come that big? :shock:It's the angle of the picture. It's not nearly as big as it looks, though, it is still pretty big.Just saw this guy outside on the wall at night out by the light being the awesomeness that he is just making other bugs not want anything to do with him. I saw(what I'm assuming is) this same exact Mantis in the exact same spot like 2 weeks ago and he was small and puny back then, but now he's a freaking beast. Probably been feasting on the many random disgusting bugs that infest the outer area of my house.
Mantis' are the most badass bugs in the whole world. I put my phone and my hands all close up like 1 inch away from him to take a pic and he didn't even flinch or move at all. They simply have NO fear.
Now compare to that to this oversized fat as hell roach/beetle I also saw close by while I was out there having a smoke, as soon as I walked towards it within 3-4 feet from it to try to approach and crush it, it ran off as fast as it could. What a little b**** of a bug. lol
If Mantis' were the size of humans, we'd all be f***ed. They don't bulls*** for anyone. lol I love them, they definitely have "beastblood" as a guy named Elpresador would say.
