As much as we want to be politically correct, old people can't drive. The once that can are an exception to the norm.

Their drive too slow, drive on the line, switch lanes because they don't know where they are, get halfway into a lane but jump back into their original one because they just noticed thats the wrong one, etc.

I'm not necessarily saying to ban old people from driving, but I say anyone over 60 should have to take a driving test every two years to prove that their are competent enough to drive without causing a 10 car pile up and sparking roadrage

There are drivers of ALL ages who do pretty much all the things you described. There are also drivers of all ages who drive, on the whole, pretty well. I mean, my dad's 55 and he basically taught me how to drive. I did have formal lessons with an instructor, but I found I learnt better from my dad. And I passed first time after learning for less than 5 months, so.... yeah.

To be honest, I think everyone should have to re-sit their test from time to time. Not frequently, say every 10 years or so. But just to make sure they haven't slipped into bad habits/forgotten everything they were taught when learning.

Where do you live?
Here most people drive competently other than old people.

But ya, I would change it to 60 but GS won't let me edit the poll

Most of the time, they aren't driving too slow, but they are driving the speed limit. And most of us, can't be bothered sticking to the posted speed, so we go over. We get stuck behind someone going the speed limit, and get frustrated, because they aren't going faster. Or at least that's what happens with the drivers here. Plus, teens are more likely to get into accidents than old people. They may be making a few mistakes, but they have the most experience.

Blah old people sometimes irritate me when they drive on the road. I still have some bitter feelings about that time I wrecked my car, rear ending that old lady's car.

I think like over 60 and they should have driving tests every 5 years. I mean, my grandpa's 80 years old and he's a good driver. He used to be a cabbie though so that might have a little to do with it.

Send them all to less populated, flat states, where they have an easier time driving and if they crash, no one will care because they will probably roll into a ditch or a cornfield. I propose, Nebraska, Kansas, or Florida.
