I like lots of older movies, I consider older movies ones that are before my time. Usualy movies between the 70's- 80's. Some examples of the movies that I frequently watch are, The Warriors, Duel, Taxi Driver, Predator,Maximum Overdrive, Killdozer, Christine, The Shining, Transformers The Movie. Uhhh Nothing really comes to mind. Oh I do watch alot of John Wayne westerns too. I do have a large collection of classic movies on VHS and DVD. But I dont feel like going through them. Those are the movies I watch more than anything. I also watch movies that pre-date the 80's and surpass the 90's. But newer movies dont really intrest me other than Transformers and Transformers Revenge Of The Fallen. Im pretty picky. What about you?

Oh jeez... There would be too many films to list, but here's a few... A Clockwork Orange, Psycho, Strangers on a Train, 12 Angry Men, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Dr. Strangelove, etc.

Since there are just far to many movies to mention, I'll just stick with saying one of my favorite movies is from 1930, All Quiet on the Western Front.

That was a really good movie. I had it recorded on my DVR for the longest time. Then It crashed and I haven't seen it on tv since then. =[

I like some of the old black-and-white movies for their dark atmosphere ("The Thing from Outer Space," "Night of the Living Dead" (the original, not Tom Savini's remake) and the original "Psycho") or because they relied more on story/characters than special effects ("Seven Samurai," "The Hidden Fortress"... pretty much any of Kurosawa's samurai movies).

20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. Sadly, it's been awhile since I've seen it. But I refuse to buy the DVD (unless there's an unedited version I haven't heard of)

Those are the best kind, The man with no name trilogy, Taxi driver is great, I like a lot of Bela Lugosi films. Dracula, White Zombie, there really are too many to name. Classic 007. This makes my brain hurt, The Good Fellas.

I do enjoy some of the old-time Greek cinema movies.

We're talking about as old as the 30's, 40's etc

Yeah man that movie Was great. I especally like how the story was written. The decline of the mental health of certian humans is very well captured. I dont wanan wreck the movie for you by telling you the plot. But I believe thats the basic idea of it. Well thats what I got from watching the movie.

It's sad to think that movies from the 80's are considered "old". I still regularly watch movies from the 30's and 40's...Just because they don't have stuff exploding doesn't mean they are boring or whatever you are trying to get at.

I think Jazz pretty much named them all, but I'm to lazy to read his entire list. :P

Some that come to mind are:

The Philadelphia Story
Modern Times
The Seventh Seal
Mr. Smith Goes to Washington
Wild Strawberries
Seven Samurai
Dr. Strangelove
High and Low
Breathless

Heck, this thread just reminds me of some movies that I really need to see, mainly:

12 Angry Men
The Maltese Falcon
Repulsion
Stray Dog

Oh hell....you really don't want me to list all the movies that I enjoy that are considered old, do you? Though I think Jazz_Fan's list would own mine anyway. :P
