Honestly, it depends on the person. In my case, while I still have minor case of acne, clearasil has help to dramatically improve my skin in the past year.

Anyhow, if you were wanting to learn more about the subject, including possibly treatments, I would say this is good source of information:

acne is such a **** ive tried a million products ,and i think the biotherm acnopur mosturiser worked best for me when combined with a mild cleanser like energic q10 facewash..i used them twice a day,morning and night.also try to exercise,to make a healthy life,to sleep well,eat well,eat healthy especially salads and vegetables so you will strengthen your body's skin defence.in short term periods acne is not affected from your diet but if you start eating healthy after some months you will notice a great difference.also you should know acne is mostly hormonal,and theres not a 100% effective cure for it,but at least you can make your skin look noticeably better..ps.lasers and chemical peelings make some drastic improvements but they dont last for ever,they cost a lot of money and weaken your skins elasticity so try to avoid them ..

[QUOTE="dreamdude"]

I wouldn't know. My skins as smooth as a babies ***!

But I don't really drink soda and unfealthy foods either. I'm a health freak. I also drink alot of water.

Hope that helps some.

Acne isn't related to diet. So far as I know it's hormonal. It might be more than that, but diet is rarely a part of it.

edit: Acne ISN'T related to diet.

Yeah i pretty much agree, it's almost totally hormonal, there's little you can do diet wise to prevent it, but i still think eating fruit instead of sweets will help

Also, sun is one of the best cures, seriously

lay off the greasy foods for a start, acne will almost ALWAYS start with a bad diet, oh and a home remedy from an uncle:

"boil a pot of water into a large bowl, put a towel over your head and then go put your face over the top of the bowl"

if that makes any sense...the idea is to let the steam open all of your pores, then you just go wash your face and get some of the grease out.

job done =]

YAY FOR BEING BLACK AND NOT HAVING TO WORRY ABOUT THESE SORTS OF THINGS!!! =D

Patience is a virtue. I never found those special products to work, just plain ol' soap will do once in the morning and once before going to bed.Cyrax-Sektor

I use the same method. It dries out the acne then it'll go away.

Food has no effect, no matter what people tell you. People are just patting themselves on the back because they believe they eat healthy. Seriously, get some sun, wash your face before you go to bed, and avoid touching your face.
