omg my mom is annoying!!!

im 15.i want to buy a kabar knife with my christmas money but my mom wont let me and i think i need one in case someone tries to rob my house. I have 3 sisters a mom and my dad who is disabled and walks with a cane.

also my parents dont lock the doors to my house ever and whenever i try to my sister will come home at 3 in the morning drunk and locked out and my parents scream at me not to lock the door.

So i told my mom this and she said that we dont need weapons in the house and then i said that we have kitchen knives, so she said just to use them against a robber and i said that they cant penetrate enough to stop a robber and you need a good knife for that.So she says that im sick and video games are corrupting my my mind and walked out of the room.

Am i right because i think my mom is just being very ignorant to the fact that its possible to get robbed.

I have not asked my dad yet he is sleeping but i think he will say yes tommorow. And i know its illegal for me to get a kabar at my age but my dad cant use it and i wanna be safe im on my computer until like 3 in the morning while everyone is sleeping if i had a knife by my side i see no harm in this.

What do you guys think?

Why don't you buy yourself a bokken? My friend bought me one for my 20th. It's almost 4 feet long and made of red oak, meaning this mofo could break some bones if I swung hard enough and has plenty of reach. Best of all it's not sharp and I can hang it above my bed as an ornament :)

No problem. Just be sure you tell her it's 'not real' and only for display and I'm sure she won't object. It beats a knife or a bat anyday, solely because of its reach.

You'll end up in court if you attack someone with a knife and seriously injure them in any way, regardless if that person was robbing your home.
