Well, read this first please.

I do not yet have my drivers license but I have purchased a 1994 BMW 320i with RHD + GPS, 12" SUB and 200W AMP.

Obviously, I do not trust my family with driving it, only my dad, since he has an emaculate record. I specifically told my sister and my mother that they are not allowed to drive it without me in the car with them. Neither of them asked to drive the car within the 1 month of ownership so I kept living my life. On last tuesday morning I left for school and attended my regular classes. Then, in 2nd period English my friend who lives across the street said he saw someone come out of my house and start my car, but he didnt know who it was. I went on to make assumptions that she had probably crashed the car, knowing that she is such a bad driver (ultimately I did not believe him anyway). Then lunch break comes and Im bored and go to the school library and start looking at BMW nightmares and other things relating to my 320i, since I love it. Just as I leave the library I hear my name being called, I always have to think about who is talking and if they are calling my name or one of the girl "taylors" in our school, so I turn around and see one of my sisters-friends-sister who also happens to be my friend. She proceded to tell me that my sister had texted her to tell me to call her, it was an emergency apparently. So I did, and what do I hear? "Taylor, I love you...and I crashed your car." I still cannot believe it. My own sister practically stole my car. The kicker: she was going to school and realized she didnt have a parking pass so she turned around and started going home. On her way home she thought it would be a good idea to look in her purse 1 block away from my house; it wasn't. She somehow managed to crash into a parked trailer on the other side of the road. Obviously all her fault, no one else was even on the road. This all happened within 4km of driving it. I am so distraught and depressed.

i would rate this stupidity at 11/10

how bout you?

Edit: I guess i didnt get the memo that i am supposed to hide my keys. I figured I could trust my family to not steal it...cause thats what usually happens...they DONT steal your car usually

i also found a fitting song lyric: You stole everything my heart desires, now i want it back

Wow 1 i would make her stupid arse pay for it and 2 never leave the key anywhere near the house when you leave.....or when she gets her own car take it and drift it around and burn up the brakes and tires and make her buy new ones then when she says something tell her to learn to drive better.

At least it was a piece of junk, that would have sucked if it was a nice car. Sorry for loss, either way.

I think I rate you a little higher than her since you left the keys in a place that she could find them.

That sucks that your sister wrecked your car, sorry to hear it. How come your parents don't have anything to say about her just taking someone else's property? And I assume she is going to pay for repairs or pay for whatever it cost you.

But also... maybe you should keep your keys on your person in the future.

He's likely going to get his driver's license soon if he bought it, I don't see why it's that ridiculous.

If I were you, I would have no mercy.

A. You specifically told her not to drive it and she did anyways.

B. She crashed it being an idiot

Charge her the full amount you need to get it fixed, and not a penny less. Maybe she'll learn her lesson.

Taylor, you gotta find a way to make her pay for the damage. You see, Taylor, trust is a hard thing to win back. And quite frankely, Taylor, you've gotta make her win it back. Show your stupid sister no mercy, Taylor, make her pay! And also, Taylor, please let us know what happens.

Oh wow a woman who crashes a car. Go figure. Seriously I have yet to meet a girl or see another girl driving that is actually good at it. I probably cuss out and flick off 1-2 woman drivers a day just because they are jus tplain terrible at driving. Hey its not your sisters fault shes a woman.

I still don't get how guys pay more insurance than women(In Canada we do anyways). There is so much evidence (Such as your sister) showing females are not good drivers(I'm sure there are some good female drivers out there though). But yeah shesounds pretty stupid if she can't drive a car for more than 4 mins without crashing it.

i swear people(specially sisters) just cant understand the most **** simple stuff. i mean i keep telling my sister "dont press this button on your PC,dont clickthis icon, dont open weird sites...etc" and the next thing i know she did them all and want me to magically "fix" it. god WTF,why the hell some people are so stupid(specially sisters).100/10 for me, and make her pay for the repair of the car until she starves.

i just have the keys laying on my dresser you guys, its just the same as your parents hanging em up, you dont expect your immediate family members to take em

and its actually a really nice car, everyone who has seen it can't believe that it is a 94, its in mint, or was

and yah, it was insured, i still can drive it with a supervising driver

If the car is totaled:

1 she is paying the $700 deductable

2 if they give me less than what i paid for it, she is providing the difference

3 if i get a new car, she is buying the insurance

4 somehow she has to regain my trust either by winning the lottery and giving it all to me or some other creative circumstance

and she has her own car, she just thought she would be sweet and drive mine to university

first thing she said was "ill pay for everything" so ill hold that to her my dad said she is turning out to be a total waste of skin w/ drugs and drinking every weekend, but somehow she keeps good grades other than my depression, i think everything should be made as if nothing happened, with no effort from me

First off, how in the world do you have a car that nice if you are still in high school? Secondly, if it isn't in fact your car that you paid for then you have no right in telling anyone if they can drive it or not. Thirdly, people make mistakes, chill out, it's just a car, and she is your family. Trust me, Family is more important. Money can fix/bring back a car, money can not bring back your sister if she would have actually been hurt in the accident. Now, that being said, yes your sister is extremely irresponsible for looking around in her purse because not only did she put herself in danger and someone else's property, but she also put anyone else on the road at risk, or pedestrians.

A '94 320i isn't a nice car... probably could have picked it up for like $4000... which isn't impossible to save up in high school...

What I'm wondering is how did she get hold of the keys? I reccommend next time you hide them or take them with you next time so this won't happen again. I hope that she offers to pay for the damages at least.

It was simply a fluke accident. Sure I'd be pissed as well, but it's not like she purposely did it. Everyone makes mistakes, that's like calling yourself an idiot every time you take your eyes off the road for a few seconds. Everyone does it. She just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Hopefully you had insurance on the vehicle, that's a start, if you were/are really that protective of it. And again, like it's been said, hide your damn keys... really. She shouldn't have had access to your car as easily as she supposedly did.
