Time - Pink Floyd 560 plays. 8)
I don't like iTunes or iPods but I still own one, I don't play my music from iTunes, I normally play the CD or Vinyl (unless I'm just feeling to damn lazy. :P)
"Stick Stickly" - Attack Attack!
A little over 300 hits.
"Composure" - August Burns Red is in a close second.
If something's popular, odds are OT won't like it.Why does iTunes get so much hate? Its by far the best media player, for music, out there today.

No it's not. It can't play flac files, and it sucks. Slow, I rather stick with winamp or wmp.Why does iTunes get so much hate? Its by far the best media player, for music, out there today.

I think it has something to do with it actually being pretty terrible, like most other Apple products and software.
I don't use itunes but my most played song is "In My Head" by Queens of the Stone Age with 143 plays.

EDIT : for the guy who wanted the explanation for why itunes is bad, here u go.
because it is not, mediamonkey and foobar 2000 are way better than it. both can play FLAC. i personally like mediamonkey over foobar , mediamonkey orgianizes your files better than itunes, takes up less memory, has better tag options, has a great file renaming scheme, can auto tag tiles from the internet using freedb ( art included) its way faster loading, and dosnt lag even with my 16 thowsand files, itunes is horrible on pc, back when i had even 6k songs itd lag when scrolling. this is on a Quad core 2.5 ghz with 4 gigs of ram, mediamonkey is perfect. OH DID I MENTION YOU CAN UPDATE YOUR IPOD WITH IT? FASTER AND WITH MORE OPTIONS. just because itunes is the most popular dosn't mean its the best, most things that are the most popular are not the best. how bout trying the other players before making a blind statement like that.
EDIT: oh yeah forgot , it cant play Flac or any of the lossless formats.

I agree as i'm not a fan of iPods or Macs, but there's nothing wrong whatso ever with iTunes, please tell me what's terrible about it?
For those of you who dont like iTunes, in explanation would make sense. jensen_slipknot
It's incredibley slow on Windows and plays what plays what? Two formats?
I hate iTunes because
1) It mistakes my albums for other albums (Guns N' Roses: Greatest Hits IS NOT MICHAEL ****ING JACKSON)
2) It seperates my artist because one song was composed with someone else or buy someone else. i.e. with A Kind of Magic by Queen it tells me that Queen and Queen & Michael Kamen are two different artists and seperates the tracks from the album.
3) I have to upload all my cover art manually
4) It promotes digital distrobution of music, the worst sound, least physical form of music there is. Call me jaded but I like opening CDs and Vinyls, I like seeing the cover art (Vinyl) in all its 12 x 12 inch glory. I like being able to open a gate fold or flip through the booklet of a CD. I like the whole package, not just part of it. And in terms of quality
Vinyl > CD >> MP3's.
5) I hate iPods for the simple things that annoy me. Like when it turns back on just because I plug my headphones into it, the gyroscope doesn't work properly, shake to shuffle (you can turn it off) is just impracticle and pointless. Annoying clicking noise every time I scroll through a menu or use any of the buttons on the iPod, no radio, and the iPod can only be used with iTunes and sometimes SharePod (if you are luckly). You can't remove the battery which is just a **** move by Apple to get you to buy another iPod instead of buying a cheap battery.
I could go on but I don't feel like it.

If your not an audiophile the formats dont matter, sounds great to me.I'm not an audiophile but I'd like my music to be in a format that actually works with something outside of iTunes. As for sounding great, I'm pretty sure music purchased through iTunes is 128 kbps, which is terrible.
If your not an audiophile the formats dont matter, sounds great to me. jensen_slipknot
Apple Lossless isn't such a bad format. Both Ghosts I-IV and The Slip came out on it, and both sound as good as the FLAC versions I also have. The two are similar enough that even an audiophile shouldn't be too bothered. The only problem is, very few things appear on Lossless. But really, no audiophile cares because HD audio is where it is at, and if you have the speakers for it, you'd be listening to your blu-ray album releases on them...

its 128 AAC which is a bit bttr than 128 MP3, now its 256 AAC for new stuff, i think its called itunes plus, which is overall pretty good, its not as good as V0 MP3, but close, and honestly itd probly be hard to tell a difference without really listening hard and comparing two versions of a song.I'm not an audiophile but I'd like my music to be in a format that actually works with something outside of iTunes. I would never purchase music through itunes unless I absolutely had to. Itunes is bad on the basis that it is anti-CD. As I said in a thread yesterday, a file on a computer is not the album experience, that physical package is most important. Hence why you and I would get the Nine Inch Nails download, and then when the physical release comes along get that too.

I import CDs... dunno if thats any better[/QUOTE] depends on what settings you have itunes set to for when you import, its automaticly set to 128 AAC which is garbage, go into import settings and change it to 320 mp3 or highest V0 Mp3..
or if your serious about your music.. get the program exact audio copy, get the LAME MP3 CODEC, look up exact audio copy optimization on google, then rip your stuff to V0 MP3 with perfect settings . its worth it.
i had my stuff 320kbps mp3 ripped with itunes, then i discovered EAC when i joined what, i reripped all my cd's with EAC
EDIT: to sum up.. itunes' mp3 / aac encoder are not really that good, another reason why itunes is bad. if EAC is too hard to use btw ( its very advanced and intimidating for anyone that isnt extremely comfortable with advanced programs and music options) you can get foobar 2000 which has LAME built into it, put a CD in there, import it to FLAC and then convert that FLAC to V0 Lame MP3. its not as good as EAC cuz of the lack of options, but its as best as you can get without it.
