Should be getting 10mb...
they have this because their ISPs don't have monopolies on the lines.
In the US the companies control the lines. So most ppl have only 1 or 2 options for internet. so really they have little incentive to be cheaper or offer better service.Ontain
It's virtually the same over here, BT controls the lines but allows anyother company to use them. However if you want high speed at a good price there is only really Virgin Media and they run a completely private network.
[QUOTE="MushroomWig"]You should be! *checks*Mine's not too badThat's what it is now, pfft. T_Ttofu-lion91
i just read this article and Cisco unveiled new internet technology that can download speeds of up to 322 terabits a second, but i don't think the 90k price tag is worth it.

"Well in Cisco terms, the router will be able to provide download speeds of 1 Gigabit per second for everyone in San Francisco, download the entire printed collection of the Library of Congress in 1 second and stream every movie ever created in less than 4 minutes."
Ah, ah, ahhhhh!.....Nerdgasm.
The $90,000 price tage is almost worth it. Wait, we should start a fund raiser to buy these routers to send them to our fellow Gamespot users that need them in the UK. They need it more than anyone else. Let our European brothers and sisters suffer slow internet speeds no more!
