[QUOTE="fabz_95"]I dislike chrome because it's not easy to open things in tabs. I like just clicking on a link whilst holding control to open it in a new tab. I'm not sure if chrome does that but I do prefer the design.criinok

You can right click the link and choose 'open in a new tab'. Easier then ctrl+click in my opinion.

Also, I use Chrome. Simple, and excellent at preventing viruses. I've gotten two viruses from Firefox (no illegal activities or porn), so I've stopped using it.

I know that, I find ctrl click a lot easier. Mainly because I'm only clicking the link once and I'm only right clicking. With the open in a new tab option, you must right click and then left click. Each to their own I guess :P.

Besides speed, what makes Opera better than Firefox? I am not interested in Chrome at all. I don't like being spied on by Google and then having that info given to the government.TheGreatOutdoor
Having a plethora of well integrated features upon installation whereas with Firefox these would need to be looked for and downloaded first. Firefox got really bloated when I did that. Opera is also usually the first of the top five browsers to bring features to the table. The security is also a plus, which Opera always improves. Having a low market share also aids in this.

I like both, but I use Chrome because I like keeping it simple.

Ok I tried Opera out for the day. It sucks, I will stick to Firefox. thanks for mentioning Opera though, so I could at least test it out and have a honest opinion of it.

Be more specific as to why it sucks as opposed to Firefox.

Not as user friendly as Firefox. Not as secure (which is WAY more important to me than how fast it loads a page), and really, it didn't load that much faster than Firefox did.

Not as user friendly? Not as secure? Not that much faster? We will have to agree to disagree.

Opera, simply because Chrome's Omnibox scares me.

:S Firefox is no more user-friendly than opera. Just because you're accustomed to one setup doesn't mean another is "not user-friendly". How do you deduce that opera is less secure? From personal experience, I've received viruses from malicious ads while using firefox. Opera never even allowed those same malicious ads to display. It warned me before I went to a site that had some questionable content - regarding safety. To each his own, but it doesn't sound like you even gave the browser a fair chance. A week of usage (for any new program) is necessary in order to properly assess its value.

I concur with the emphasized bit especially. I too had my biases against Opera when I first came across it. For example, I downloaded it, installed it, looked around a bit, and uninstalled it again simply because it was different. I did this several times before finally easing myself in.
