great show. if it's on tv while i'm watching tv, i'll watch it. although imo it's not as good as the colbert report. stephen colbert is just too funny :P
There's as much substantive news content on a half-hour of John Stewart as there is on any of the major networks. It can be funny, but most of the time I'm not a fan of Jon. People actually consider it to be real news, that's what aggrivates me the most about it. Strangely enough, the Colbert Report I find to be hilarious even though he pushes the same BS as Jon.

Even though he does pretty much the same stuff.great show. if it's on tv while i'm watching tv, i'll watch it. although imo it's not as good as the colbert report. stephen colbert is just too funny :P

I find his show to be hilarious. The last episode I saw was the day after the most recent Republican debate... he of course was analyzing the debate. I was cracking up. The funniest part was when he was analyzing the candidates standing for the pledge of allegience, and Jon says something like "Here are all the candidates showing how patriotic they are", then he cuts himself off mid-sentence when the camera pans to Perry, who is standing ridiculously stiff and straight and his arm is so stiff like he is trying as hard as he can to appear as patriotic as possible and Jon Stweart just says "Holy s***!" I lost it at that point.

I hope I get to watch that one :D (translation period)Unfortunately the Daily Show is as informative as Fox News, CNN, and MSNBC. The problem with the 24 hour news networks is that they're 99% hype, gossip, and commentary and 1% actual news. Unless you're reading well-respected international newspapers you're not really better informed than a guy who watches nothing but the daily show. It's also worth noting that The Daily Show has never portrayed itself as being a legitimate news show. It has, in fact, always claimed the exact opposite. TDS has always been about MOCKING the 24 hour news networks, hence why Jon tears apart Fox News, CNN, and MSNBC every chance he gets. Colbert does it too, except that he's more focused on satirizing conservative pundits like Bill O'Reily than he is on the news networks as a whole. It can be funny, but most of the time I'm not a fan of Jon. People actually consider it to be real news, that's what aggrivates me the most about it. Strangely enough, the Colbert Report I find to be hilarious even though he pushes the same BS as Jon.

I hope I get to watch that one :D (translation period) You can watch it here: http://www.thedailyshow.com/full-episodes/tue-september-13-2011-jim-lehrerThe Daily Show puts all their episodes up on that site after they've finished airing in all parts of the country, so assuming your English is good enough you could watch them all with only 1 day delay instead of a 15 day delay.
Very entertaining show. I think Jon is more on the sarcasm and irony humor where as colbert plays the dumb/goofball humor. Both decent but i actually liked it better when they were both doing the daily show. It was a good mix Jons new "reporters" kinda suck in my opinion.HubadubalubahuTrue they never crack me up

The others not so much.

News in general is biased no matter how you report it. Seriously or comeidicly. The humor itself however well thats all up to you.Very biased and not funny for me. I guess my idea of humor isnt what he or Colbert do

I have no idea how Samantha Bee has been with them for so long. Whenever it's time for one of her segments I'm disappointed because I know I probably won't be laughing. I don't know if Olivia Munn is still with them but she's cringeworthy every time she's on screen (hot but not funny at all). Maybe I'm just sexist.
In addition to the two you mentioned I like John Hodgman and Larry Wilmore.
More credible than Fox's legitimate commentaries.Victorious_FizeI love it when he makes fun of Fox. :P
