I'd just clone the X out of the XY and duplicate it to XX. Then I would have a female me............bobaban
This would lead to the greatest girl advice thread ever.
[QUOTE="MystikRex"]I'm fine with it. If it can save lives, I can't understand why all those nut cases seem to hate it. Buttons1990
Because people who follow a book based on nothing, written two thousand years ago by a group of cultist who influenced the poor in Rome into following them ultimately leading to a Christian majority in Rome and thus Constantine deciding that the only way to unite the Roman people would be to declare it the official religion of the state, forever dooming Western Civilization believe it is immoral.
Never mind the millions of people killed in the name of their god. A few human embryos is outrageous and murder and must be stopped.
Way to go on stereotyping the Christians..Edit: group of cultist??? What are you smoking son?
I am more for cloning. That would be great. Stem cell research is capable of nice things too.Lostboy1224From an ethical/moral standpoint, I've never understood the backlash of cloning (especially cloning humans). That said, however, I don't think we should take cloning beyond that of organs. Cloned organs are more useful than cloned people.
in my opinion the potential benefits far outweigh any ethical problems, so im all for it in all circumstances.

Cloned organs are more useful than cloned people. absolutely yes, at this point with the global population what it is we are merely wanting to replace what we are used to having around, or making improvements to what is around us. People especially. healthy people use less resources and produce more. The problem is lazy people and those who hide behind their ideologies and try and stop the system. Stem Cell use does not have to be like soylent green...maybe more like Aeon Flux. I'm all for getting plugged into the matrix as long as that anal-raping kangaroo from the "wouldn't it be cool if" thread keeps Keanu Reeves out of the way.. ...just realizes that my stem cells might have spoiled...
I think its great. The only thing I'm afraid of is the possibility of the use of aborted fetuses for stem cells.Penguinchow
There's no point in taking stem cells from aborted fetuses. You want the stem cells from an embryo as embryonic stem cells can be used to general all kinds of cells. Were as "adult" (although somatic is the better term) cells are limited in their usage. Embryonic stem cells are harvested from embryos created during in vitro fertility treatments. In vitro treatment creates large numbers of embryos that are never used. Typically these are ether discarded or stored well past their viable life. For some reason this is accepted, but suggust using these embryos to potentially help people rather than throwing the embryos away and it suddernly become tantamount to murder.
