Oh, yeah, and some conspiracy theories, like anti-vax and AIDS denialism, DO hurt people.

The birther thing is a fantastic example. Or that some of them spout nonsense that actually DOES hurt people, like claiming vaccines are dangerous, or smoking is good for you.

Charlie Sheen of all people put it best. When it comes to any conspiracy everyone always yells foul! pretty retarded if you ask me since not everything is a "conspiracy" (or I guess everything is in a sense). (disclaimer: my personal opinion on the matter...doesn't matter; i'm just making a point) Charlie Sheen said that the 9/11 story brought up a lot of question and the commission report didn't really answer much but rather made things very convoluted and messy by omitting certain facts and blah blah blah. He said that as crazy as it sounds to blame 9/11 on an "inside" i.e. the U.S. government, its even crazier to believe that a bunch of Arabs with box cutters managed to hijack 4 planes simultaneously and maneuver them so elegantly and hit 75% of their targets. That's a "conspiracy" if I've ever heard one (paraphrasing his quote).
Not everything you hear is a conspiracy. Is OK to question things and in fact its important that you question things especially when they're always half baked. There was also one story on the web that I read long ago that said: if I told you there was a group of men undertaking a top secret project and that anyone who was in on this project cannot opt out and chances are if someone did they would be killed. That these people were developing a weapon that can kill thousands if not millions of people in the click of a button. Right now I can see you scoffing and shaking your head at me and calling me crazy, calling me a conspiracy theorist if you will. But what If I told you this was already done and hiroshima can attest to that, because its people still suffer to this day from this "conspiracy". A conspiracy is anything you make of it.
Chances are half the time you call someone a conspiracy theorist its because you're so obsessed with your beliefs that you just don't want to believe anything else. Chances are that half the time you call someone a conspiracy theorist, had you done you homework and started connecting some dots and realized how black and white things are on this Earth that you'd be a little skeptical too of a lot of things going on. I'm a little heavy on this stuff. I don't like talking Illuminati or skull and bones because I think that's retarded (true or not, who cares?) but I do like talking logic and business and government and politics and real life stuff going on in your world today. These tend to paint an ugly picture most of the time. Just be open minded a little. You don't have to believe everything but don't deny it either until you've actually looked into it (and your daddy telling you its wrong doesn't count as looking into it, because my daddy and I agree and disagree on many subjects for example such as religion for one...your parents aren't always right no matter how opinionated they are).
Its true. I was the copilot when he was flying the plane. /conspiracy theory.UltraZerothat's just plane wrong
