I am not a pacifist, however I am politically left. Very FAR left. I am also an environmentalist, but sometimes the ground has to be soiled with blood and oil to induce change.

Sort of - I'd have no problems hitting someone if they inflicted pain upon a family member, friend or pet.
But otherwise, I'm as violent as a tea cosy.

no, everyone needs to fight on occasion.

with that said, I never initiate, and if I have been drinking I am generally mellowed out so people get one or two swings and an inquiry before I retalliate. Smiling, laughing, and asking the guy why he punched me after he slugs me in the jaw generally scares people away.

fortunately I am a large guy, so physical conflict rarely occurs.

I get teased that I'm a hippie or something, BUT I'm actually very protective over those I love.

I sort of feel the same way.

I hate to see riots and stuff on TV, but deep down I am actually proud that people are fighting for a cause. I do not wish death or even physical harmon anyone, but if you fight for something, you must accept it as a possibility, and if you defend something, you must accept it as a possibility.

Occupational hazard, basically.

I'm too lazy to get involved sometimes so it's not worth my time.
