Used to be able to do this. If I do the mental exercises during the day, I can usually have one, but it takes work

Yes, generally, however it is not restful at all. I suspect that I am leaving deep REM sleep when I do it, because I'm always super tired when I wake up after lucid dreams

Occasionally. It seems to correlate with me being sleep deprived beforehand.

I didn't even know people could control their dreams. That sounds pretty awesome.

Usually if I see something I know is out of the ordinary like someone flying or I'm in my old house i can start to control it.

Usually once I figure out that I'm dreaming, I wake up. Usually that makes me really mad because they're good dreams.

sonicare

Yeah I've had plenty of instances where I've found myself thinking "this is a dream" but there has only been one time I remember where I've had almost full control over my dream.

I should look into lucid dreaming

That would be awesome if you could control your own dreams. Dont know if I'd want to wake up. :P

I control my dreams almost all the time, like 90% of the time atleast. Only problem is my dream sort of limits me in a way. It's like (for example) I think "Yeah! Then a Dragon came by and gave me a lift to my home!... Yeah... Dragon?" and he just doesn't come... I know I'm dreaming but I just can't command it to do what I want all the time. :?

I kept a dream journal and followed the steps needed to do so, I've had a few awesome dreams but I gave up.

Personally its just depressing. Even when you have a hot former science teacher buying videogames for you (among other stuff), you know its not real and at any moment it could end and your back in a reality that doesn't match up. Its especially worse when it ends halfway through the good parts (which it often did).

I'm trying to, I started keeping a dream journal 2 days ago.. well technically i just type in that notes thingy on my ipod about my dreams. I'm hoping to have a lucid dream very soon, but i've only remembered a small part of one dream in the past 2 nights.

I rarely dream as is, but I have had a couple lucid dreams. I'm kinda terrified to have another though because of the chance of sleep parlysis.

I wish, but alas I cannot. The weird thing is, I'm often aware that I'm dreaming, but I never act upon it.

Try your best to remember whenever you recall the slightest, before you wake out of bed. You should be able to have a better dream recall in a short time if you give it a good try.

Ya I have a few times, I generally realize I am dreaming while I am dreaming, but I don't always take control of it.

When it comes to Nightmares I almost always take the driver's seat to make sure that I come out on top and victorious. :D In one of my dreams I performed a successful exorcism and it was of a person that I had known that I have thought is just kinda evil and has ill intentions. It was a pretty badass dream tho.

I'm taking Chantix to quit smoking and man the dreams you get while taking it are completely awesome. Vivid and somewhat controllable. I wish they put whatever is in it into an OTC medication just called, "Dreaming Pills". I look forward to going to sleep now-a-days because the dreams are so awesome and I can decide whats happening. If you want to have fun dreaming, start smoking and then get Chantix prescribed.

ive had them a couple times but i dont know how to do it or anything. lately ive noticed though that when i over sleep as in sleep for a long ass time i'm much more likely to dream and i get really trippy ass dreams. dreams are a really curious thing about people, i heard that in the near future sometime that they will be able to look into ur dreams and like show them on a screen or monitor or something. now that would be crazy.

yes, however after a certain amounts of period I loose control of it. Dreams that I most recall IRL are either lucid or have a thought process (like rubbing my hands or able to calculate simple math). Some times I dream of me dying but that just get me wake up into another dream:shock:

I lucid dream sometimes, but I can't most of the time.

JarOfGunz

I manipulated a few of them and it WAS COOL. It's like having another plane of dimension at your fingertips!!

But honestly, I was just going a bit delusional anyway 'Cause I don't really fully control my dream, just a part of it where you act on your own, wish for something and it's there and now that "this place ain't real!"
